The two sides shared the spoils at Elland Road earlier in the season thanks to a last gasp spot kick from Rodrigo, after Joe Gelhardt was upended in the penalty area. Almost five months on, both teams find themselves at different ends of the table. Whilst Leeds have struggled defensively to keep the opposition out, Bruno Lage's team have only conceded 23 goals all season, almost three times less than Leeds! Their biggest problem has been scoring goals. In fact, Leeds have scored two more goals than Wolves (31) this season. Wolves will be without the services of Nelson Semedo and Ki-Jana Hoever, whilst Hwang Hee-chan and Pedro Neto are both recovering from knocks, and are doubtful. Patrick Bamford should lead the line for the Whites. The 28yo has 75 minutes of game time under his belt from the last couple of matches. He was substituted at half-time against Norwich on Sunday, purely as a precaution as he continues on the road to full fitness. Rodrigo has recovered from his tight quad, and should be available for selection. Joe Gelhardt will be hoping to start, following his last minute heroics last weekend, though it's more likely to see the youngster in the second half. Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips, Leo Hjelde, Tyler Roberts and Junior Firpo are all ruled out through injury.
I wouldn't say it is a must win but a must not lose would be nice, a clean sheet a bonus and a win would be pretty amazing
We were by far the best side at ER. They struggle a bit at home as they like the counter attack. We will go and try and counter. The impetus will be on them to push forward at home which kind of plays in to our hands. I think it will be a tight game. They have the extra quality whilst we just cannot keep a clean sheet. Wolves will probably edge it by a goal or two but if we play well and take our chances it's a game we can get something out of.
Rodrigo has turned up for training saying he feels fine, doing some work with Paddy. Joffy has jarred his back.
It did seem like his studs caught in the pitch as he slid towards the crowd. Maybe when we score a goal in future a handshake will suffice
we should ban goal celebrations. our strategy so far this season for that has been to avoid scoring them. maybe we should practice them in training.
Yep if i was the grounds man I would be livid with the trenches they gouge out. Oh happy birthday Shaks, waste of time saying take it easy, you’ll be like a pig at a trough enjoy.
Good afternoon everyone on my own this evening so hope for a bit of interaction on here. I am hoping for at least a point and not being thrashed.
Just hypothetical.... If someone offered you either of these two scores which would you take? A) Leeds win 2-0 B) Leeds win 4-1 I'd take three points however it was offered, I might even take one point if offered now but which would give the team even more confidence, more goals or a clean sheet? I think the clean sheet would be better, it would give Meslier a boost
The two nil for me it would help to banish the stupid thrashings we got. Build some confidence and set us up for after the break.
