Wolves' not606 board is dead, but having looked on the interweb it seems their fans are rather down at the moment. Obviously their bad form, questionable appointment of Dean Saunders and the Stephen Hunt thing have them feeling pretty glum - though most still feel that they should beat us (looking at the league table, rather than how we've been recently). I personally think Saunders was a poor appointment - he may have some insight into attack, but I don't think he's one for coming up with a sophisticated, tailored gameplan and he'll be hoping for a moment of inspiration from his players. I believe the list of managers in the Championship that could tactically outsmart SOD is a very short one and simply motivating superior players is the only way Saunders will come out on top and with morale as low as it is there at the moment that seems less likely than usual. Man for man they're almost certainly stronger, but at the moment at least, they're a team less than the sum of their parts. Obviously it wasn't that long ago they were beating us 4-1, and Molineaux isn't a happy hunting ground for us, but times have changed somewhat recently. I reckon if it's 0-0 (or better for us) at half time, then the boo-boys will be out for Wolves and we'll come away with at least a point come the end of the game. However, on the flip side, they do acknowledge this as a big game and it's likely to be a good turn out for them and if the fans actually provide some positive energy that lifts their team to score early on, then I think it'd be hard to get back into it... My prediction: 1-1
Not sure if we will score but I'm fairly confident in a clean sheet now so 1-0 or 2-0 to the mighty REDS on the march again
Interestingly, Doncaster seem to be doing even better now than when he left them. Maybe he just happened to be the right man at the right time for them. At least he has experience of taking a team down before.
Kinky I hadn't known he was into that kind of thing is it something like dogging? this team muff diving?
His first game back from a long layoff and the fans cheered when he was subbed off because he'd had a bad game. He came out in the press/twitter (can't remember which) saying he wasn't happy with that and also that he was embarrassed by some of their chanting throughout the game. Have to say I side with him.
I just fear for us if we go behind, and if Wolves ain't up for this game then they frankly deserve to go down. I therefore hope that we're up for the battle as much, or preferably more than they are. We can get a result there, I'm just not sure that we will. Obviously been following us for too many years to be confident !!! Up The City
