Put the correct link then, so we can all see it.

If they want him, and he leaves, then to me his heart wasn't in the job here so I don't care. I only want a manager who will stay with the project in hand and see it out.

But they just sacked a manager with the same record as SoD. And they also had the chance to get him before we did.

I changed it in the original post above. I have put it at the top of this thread.

SOD won't go. He wanted the Bristol City job when McInnes got it, and he stuck around long enough for us to award it to him after.

The guy clearly saw something in Bristol City. Probably the fact that such a big city has been so poor in footballing terms for so long. A team like Bristol City could go really far with the right financial backing, if they were to find some success.

When you say he saw something in Bristol City can you be sure that it wasn't just a job? The problem with the game these days is that all you get are a bunch of mercenaries both in the management side and definitely on the playing side of the equation.

Like anyone else SOD will go where he wants and when he wants because he doesn't owe any favours to our club, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him go if the right offer came his way. Whether I want him to go is a totally different kettle of fish and I firmly believe that right now we need stability to move forward again and possibly Sean can offer us that luxury.

He appears to be the fan favourite item on the menu and they are basically saying that we were a doomed team prior to his arrival and as such our demise was not of his doing. Not so sure that I believe that there was nothing he could have done to save us but that will only be discussed in the past tense now.

Time and money will show us whether he wants to stay at Ashton Gate or whether he likes the colour of the grass better at Molineux.

Our manager is well thought of in football - as those comments show.

I firmly believe he's the right man to steer us over the next 2-3 years

I was a SOD fan when coppell was given the job and wanted SoD as manager back then, would we be in the mess we are now, if he was given the managers job back then it could have been so different.
    We will never know.

I was also banging the drum for Sean however when appointed we Coppell he looked like manna from heaven with his record, I don't think the club ever recovered from that short tenure we just seemed to lurch from one problem to another without managing to solve any of them before the next one came up. What didn't help was the fairly rapid turnover of managers after the Coppell saga.

I'm only interested in a manager who wants to be here, which I believe he wants to do. Other fans may want him but that's tuff, they will just have to want.

Next season is his season,i am sure the pieces in the jigsaw are being put together.

Sky accuracy for the tops and bottoms are normally very good,we are still second behind Wolves who do not have a manager as yet.

I think Wolves and us would take top two and be very happy with that<cheers>

It would break the habits of the last ninety years if we won promotion automatically or via the play-offs next season. We've only ever done that ONCE and even I and Invermere Mike were not alive to see it. Not sure about JGF? It was 1922-23 when we bounced back up to Division Two.

I will be very surprised and absolutely delighted if we do it next season. I think some on ere are in for a very rude awakening.
