    So do you guys reckon he has a chance to get in ahead of Hennessey? Mick hasnt exactly shown massive faith in the kid over the last few years.

    I don't reckon so, this is more or less a replacement for the two keepers we lost at the end of the season. (Both free's)

    Basso never played a first team game and the American sat on the bench most the season, I see this as cover in case Henners gets injured and to put a little pressure on him if his form dips.

    Great shot stopper, great feet/ short passer but doesn't control the box and is prone to flap like a confused chicken......... however gutted he went for the money and possible bench warming rather than first team with us - but thats modern day football for you!
