If we don't win on Saturday, there will be no iF about Dai calling for Rodgers head!...................
Perhaps we should get Blackburn to watch IF instead of playing the game against us, that would be an easy 3 points, or perhaps not as we can only pass in our own half.
IF we play as crap as we did at QPR we will get stuffed by Blackburn or anyone else. I hope BR can sort it out in time because last night was a shambles, I was fuming walking out of that cesspit of a ground last night.
Augustien injured, Orlandi injured, Dobbie on holiday in Blackpool. Gower on the bench is probably our only realistic option. The only thing that I would change on Saturday is to tell the players to pass the ball TOWARDS the opponents goal. It is now time to go for the jugular and attack teams.
We've played to many games straight with Britton , Allen & Sig .... & not enough with Dyer & Sinclair .
It's been said on another thread but what I want to see on Saturday are the wingers getting some balls over the top to run onto. When it's to their feet they tend to be facing their own goal and then have 2 or more around them. Let's just lump it forward. The oppo won't expect it from us.
That ship has sailed - he's doing that now! Makes me laugh that fans are so ready to abandon the style of play that got us promoted and to such a decent position in our first season. The style we're admired for throughout the footballing world. We play passing, possession-based football. If it goes back, so be it. We're cool with that as Swans fans aren't we? What was missing the other night was any sort of desire to attack their goal and that has to change. No guts, no passion, and going through the motions that made me embarrassed for the first time in ages as a Swans fan. Now is the time that Rodgers will show us his true mettle as a manager - or not.
i've spoken to a few blackburn fans and they arent too confident about the remainder of the season.....i can see another QPR result around the corner as one thing you can be sure of with blackburn is they give 100% to the cause..
Could also play mceacheran and Moore in midfield possibly if Brendans looking to freshen things up in there
One other way to look at it is that IF we draw tomorrow and Blackburn lose or draw at least 1 game between now and the end of the season, they can't catch us. When you look at it this way, you realise how hard it is to actually be caught by these teams. It's kind of strange, but even if we don't win any more games, it's the teams above us that will secure our survival.
We are going to have an almighty battle in midfield against Blackburn and I don't think that Josh or Moore would have the stomach for it to be honest. I get the feeling that they, and some others in the squad, are flat track bullies. Allow them space to play and they will murder you. Deny them that space and they become anonymous. I think that Buck will be looking for a bit of midfield beef in the close season. Come to that, some defensive beef as well and he's already looking at a big 6ft 8" unit up front. I know he doesn't want to become another Stoke, so this "beef" is also going to have to be able to play a bit. Bit of a tall order but it's needed.
I thought we were safe for sure after 30 games , & still do , but a loss to Blackburn & another to Bolton could make her interesting . This will teach the boys to get to 39 points to quickly Lol !!
