I'd imagine Celina bench for this based on what I've heard on him vs Reading - perhaps for Dids? 2-0 Wolves. Just think a big ask....!
Sunderland and Birmingham managed to get a result there so it isn't a totally daunting prospect. We need to play our own game and not show them too much respect as we did against Middlesborough.
I just cannot see us realistically winning this match. True, Sunderland got a 0-0 draw there recently but Warky, Birmingham lost that match 1-0 in what was admittedly a scrappy game. This Wolves side actually has not lost a match since 28th October, so it's going to take something special to get anything from them. We like going into the games as underdogs and our results against Derby and Forest show we can beat teams with arguably better squads. I'd like to think we can get a draw, but I we struggle to break down most the big teams in this division (think Villa, Cardiff, Sheffield United, Boro), so can't see it changing here. 3-1 Wolves.
I'm with gaffer on this one. I think wolves will think they just need to turn up. I have a feeling garner n waggy will tough em up and will have a player sent off. 2-1 town, garner and Mcg off the bench to get the winner
Not that i'm a gambling man anymore, but I've just seen that the odds on us are almost 10/1 - thats ridiculous. We wouldn't be that big a price if we were playing a premiership team.
They are long odds because we are realistically going to get thrashed! I admire the optimism on here, but I personally don't understand it haha. This Wolves side are playing good, attacking football and look very comfortable on the ball. They are used to breaking down teams and nullifying their counter attacking threat, they've done it all season. They are on an enviable run of form and if Boro, Villa, and Sheffield United can deal with our counter attacking play, then Wolves should be fine. Football is an unpredictable game, and Mick does have a good record against his former employers, but they are a much changed side and getting a result against this division's best team is going to be one of our most memorable and formidable results this season, in the unlikely event that we succeed.
Surprisingly good thanks matey. Just wish I had the energy & fitness to drive 6 hrs and shake my rattle at PR....and 2 fingers to ME!
In truth I echo Nuggets views but I remain the eternal optimist supporting ITFC, mad fools! In truth I have to tell you that I think I am beating cancer, equally wild optimism. If all 11 blues turn up with a high voltage performance, play as we have done several games, we could get something. But none of us want an ultra 8 man MM defensive wall for 70 mins!
Speak for yourself, if he has us 0-0 on 70, I won't be too upset in the ground and I'd fancy us to perhaps nick one totally against the run of play. If we go there and have a go, we're going to get our pants pulled down. I think Boro WAS the time to high press and come out of our shell a bit, I don't think this fixture is at all. Warky you're right, we haven't lost to Wolves since. The odds are laughable.... and seem to be drifting. We were 7-1 earlier in the week, I may end up having a little nibble on us. We shouldn't be as long as we are, though I think we'll lose just seems weird....
Yeah Wolves are due a loss so I’ll go for another 0-1 smash n grab! Realistically though probably 2-0 Wolves but followed by two home wins to see the year out on a high!
Nothing to lose so anything we manage to get is a bonus, one things for sure if we try to defend for 90 minutes we will get nothing out of the game, our once mean defence is like an old bucket most of the time so just go for it.
Other side of the coin is if we go out and play at Wolves, our pants are going to get utterly pulled down. About a balance.
