Welcome to the 1st RAWMOK match thread. We won't underestimate the ability of our opponents Wolverhampton Wanderers who had an amazing season last time out and are just finding their form again this time round. Saints have some tricky fixtures coming up but I am hopeful of doing a 2nd match thread next week. I feel for the person doing Liverpool match threads who must have writers block by now.

    Five things about our opponents;
1- Dances with wolves was a 1990 smash hit movie starring Kevin Costner.
2- Hungry like the wolf gave Duran Duran chart success in 1982
3- Wolf was a character in tv show Gladiators during the 1990's. Real name Michael Van Wijk (not to be confused with Van Dijk) wolf can now be found opening a fete somewhere near you.
4- In market stalls up and down the country you can buy fleeced jackets with pictures of wolves on the back. Can quite often be spotted being worn along seafronts in run down coastal resorts.
5- wolves are always the villains in fairy tales such as 3 little pigs or little red riding hood unlike saints who are the hero's

    Match limericks

To make sure in the bottom 3, we ain't.

Danny Ings is the main man to score
And can help us win away once more
On the road we've a pattern
    That last time at Fratton
    Meant Pompey nil, Southampton four.

    Team news
Southampton: Ryan Bertrand is 5'10" and Shane Long is married to Kayleah
    Wolves: Steve Bull has retired

Celebrity guest this week is Cher
Hello Cher, what would you like to say?
    :emoticon-0159-musicIf I could turn back time, if I could find a way, I'd go back to 31.3.2007 wolves 0 saints 6 :emoticon-0159-music

BREAKING NEWS BREAKING NEWS BREAKING NEWS

Colleen Rooney has ended her recent spat with Rebekah Vardy after reports that messages on Colleens instagram account had been leaked by vardy to the media. In one such instance the press quoted that Wayne Rooney was upset when he read comments about his family that no-one else could have known. Allegations have now been dropped as this was clearly untrue as Wayne Rooney can't read.

Prediction. We're going to ****ing smash em<cheers>

    Lazy effort RAWMOK :emoticon-0105-wink:

Did you know: Wolves, like most canids, are digitigrade with five toes on front feet and four on hind feet.
I wonder if Saints can exploit the obvious balance issues this could cause?

    • A wolf pup’s eyes are blue at birth. Their eyes turn yellow by the time they are eight months old

The population of Wolverhampton, named after its founder Wulfrun, is 249,470, and is dwarfed by the vast metropolis of Southampton, population 253,651.

The gold and black colours of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC originate from the city's motto 'Out of darkness cometh light', with gold and black representing light and dark respectively.

When I holidayed in Tunisia, I observed a hotel guest wearing a different shirt everyday bearing a Wolves badge. I thought supporting them must have cult ( :bandit: ) status, if you couldn’t go a day without wearing the badge.

A load of Wolves fans smashed up Blackpool pretty badly when I was there on holiday back in the 80s.

I remember back in the 60’s, at a game against someone or other at the Dell, the Milton Road End proudly displaying a huge Wolves banner they had purloined from Molineux the previous week.
