The clear link between the two teams is the man above, Kenny Jackett. A skillful left-footed player, able to play in defence or midfield, Jackett was capped 31 times for Wales, for whom he was eligible through his Welsh-born father. He spent his entire playing career at Watford before his career was ended by injury at the age of 28. The Wolves boss supported the Hornets as a boy and went to matches at Vicarage Road with his father. This week he has been talking about his ties to Watford.
The 53-year-old insisted his emotional connection with the club would be dismissed when the two teams meet at Molineux.

Jacket said: “I always look out for Watford’s results because it’s my hometown club – my mother still lives there.

“But on Saturday we could be playing anyone really because I’m wanting to win, wanting to do well for Wolves and wanting to do well for myself.

“Looking at our position in the league we really do need a big push and keep in there and keep sticking with these top sides as long as we possibly can.

“The opposition really – whether it’s my hometown club or not – becomes irrelevant. I don’t think there’s any sentiment.

Watford were poor in December’s 1-0 home defeat and their record at Molineux is poor with just one win from 16 visits. Ten of these have finished all square but seeing as the Hornets haven’t drawn for 21 league games since October what are the chances of it happening in this game?

The Hornets are the top scorers in the Championship but may find it hard keeping out a Wolves side that have netted eight goals in their last two home matches.

    Team News:
Wolves expect to name an unchanged squad despite losing 2-1 to Bournemouth on Tuesday. Keeper Carl Ikeme and winger Tommy Rowe are out with a broken metatarsal.

Captain Sam Ricketts has struggled to break into the squad and is helping boss Kenny Jackett with coaching.

Watford defender Joel Ekstrand and top-scorer Odion Ighalo (both hamstring) will undergo tests.

Hornets midfielder Sean Murray is out with a knee injury.

Think this one will be tight. We don't draw many but I'm going for 1-1.

I've predicted a Wolves win on the grounds that my predictions are so often wrong that we ought to win!

Tough one today - but a draw might be ok. Currently, however, it's in our own hands!
As long as it stays in our own handes the better!

If we score three unanswered goals in first 10 minutes then can enjoy though I fear we will be up with blood pressures of 180/110 plus and it'll be a tight one..

Looks like a fairly defensive line up and only FF to come on if we need goals.

Each gamw seems more important and more stressful than the previous one. It's going to be like this for the rest of the season. Yesterday's victory for Bournemouth has added to my nervousness about this one. If we were comfortably mid table I wouldn't be waking at 3.30 in the morning worrying that I had missed the start of today's game
