Hope MA cracks the whip before the season starts and puts the friendly results behind us or we could struggle to get momentum going.
They're only pre-season friendly's, designed to gain fitness and look at what needs tweaking. We now know that the defence like the number 3, against Millwall, Palarse, and now Woking. we have learnt that if we can score 4 goals we've cracked it. We now know that Birchall is our leading scorer for the pre-season, so let's ship him out quick before it goes to his head. Every defeat shows us how to be good losers, all we need now is to be just as gracious in victory.
Will MA now claim it's all his fault and not the players because he arranged three back to back games against superior opposition, where they were not unexpectedly outclassed? Thus leaving them bereft of enough confidence to deal with Woking even using their best players available today. Swindon must be licking their lips at the prospect of avenging the 2009 5-0 thrashing we gave them!
Outclassed? Serious? Ipswich Town squeezed out an stoppage time result...Palace 1-0 until last 15 mins
Can't blame today's result on those games then. So what was the problem at Woking? Was there a problem? Should we worry or not?
My greatest concern has been the lack of a true midfield maestro. In 1996 it was Hessenthaler. Who this time?
although the "highlights" dont include McDonald being taken out when through on goal, or Kedwell being pushed over when through in the box. A Woking player being caught offside near to the goal does make it in though (top editing)
Not sure if we had a Maidenhead thread, so posted this link here, it appears they are not happy...http://www.maidenhead-advertiser.co...ms-squad-selection-for-friendly-31072013.htm?
