It's a nonsense no news article and lazy journalism. Cardiff have traditionally been a larger club than Swansea because of demographics. This continues to be the case if you measure the size of a club by the size of it's fan base or bums on seats, at the moment Swansea are the highest in the league, that doesn't make them the biggest Welsh club, but it makes them currently the most successful if you use these parameters.
If you measure the "size" of a club by it's position in the league then Swansea are the bigger club, Swans fans will use the latter argument to support their claims, Cardiff fans the former, it's all nonsense really.
When Liverpool were winning everything in sight in front of 40,000 people at Anfield, were they a bigger club than Man Utd who weren,t winning anything, but not winning in front of 60,000 people?
Cardiff have the potential to be a bigger club than Swansea, because they have a larger cachment area, but unless we fulfil that potential its nonsense.
As it stands at at the moment Cardiff are "bigger" but Swansea are "better"
