'Cardiff can extend their stadium and once the Bluebirds get up, they may well need a 60,000-capacity home to cope with demand.'

now thats optomism / delusion for you..

jack bastard in peace ... is this journo the 1 dave jones had a barney with .. if so i can see why... any half decent journo would be ashamed to put their name on such a poor article... stadium size and fan base got nothing to do with it iam afraid .. try telling chelsea fans that newcastle are better because they have bigger stadium and more fans.its all to do with what happens on the field both swans and cardiff can only field 11 players and its up to them to do the biz. swans players have done the biz (at the third attempt) and cardiff players havent(ninth attempt i believe) all due respect i would rather have our stadium and fan base and be in the premier than your stadium and fan base and be in the championship.. steve tucker a few more articles like this and fox news will glady give you a job ....

Neither Steve Tucker nor the fat one speaks for Cardiff fans and it might surprise some people on AAMB but Carl Curtis does not either.

most of Tuckers stories are nicked from AAMB, the others are just bollocks.

I've even tried emailing them, but they never reply. Maybe its because I start my emails with Dear Bastard, ......

It's a nonsense no news article and lazy journalism. Cardiff have traditionally been a larger club than Swansea because of demographics. This continues to be the case if you measure the size of a club by the size of it's fan base or bums on seats, at the moment Swansea are the highest in the league, that doesn't make them the biggest Welsh club, but it makes them currently the most successful if you use these parameters.

If you measure the "size" of a club by it's position in the league then Swansea are the bigger club, Swans fans will use the latter argument to support their claims, Cardiff fans the former, it's all nonsense really.

When Liverpool were winning everything in sight in front of 40,000 people at Anfield, were they a bigger club than Man Utd who weren,t winning anything, but not winning in front of 60,000 people?

Cardiff have the potential to be a bigger club than Swansea, because they have a larger cachment area, but unless we fulfil that potential its nonsense.

As it stands at at the moment Cardiff are "bigger" but Swansea are "better" <doh>
