Had we had S O'D from the start of the season and he did the same averages he did with Forest and us we would be around the playoffs and remember he started with Forest in just about the same mess he found at Bristol City, I still hope he can pull the Hat out of the Rabbit and keep us up this year but at least he will make us fight for our place. Are you anymore confident in him after yesterdays game?

Shame he won't terminate his year long agreement with Florist to come here.

And before some says he can't play for 3 teams in a season you can because Neil Danns is doing it now, Leicester Us and Huddlesfield.

Elliott Ward looked like he was carrying a bit of timber yesterday - wages will be the thing that stops that

Yeah I know, he has already turned us down last summer just need to get some more targets now. I know we have that lad from Crawley we are looking at but I would feel a whole lot better with 2 new CB's and a new midfielder one who can complement Kelly.

I believe that permanent signings by SO'D in the summer will be younger players from Leagues One and Two, possibly Conference, who are ambitious and have enough talent to step up a league, assuming we are still in the Championship.
This will tie in with the board's current thinking, but it is also the way that SO'D has worked in the past. Maybe because he's never been at a club with lots of money (B'mouth & Donny) but probably because he prefers to work that way.
So maybe experienced loans now but not older players in the summer.

Don't forget that signing big names with bigger egos was the start of the downfall for sir GJ.
When you earn multiples of what your manager does - and if you **** up, or make no effort, HE gets sacked, its not surprising when they (the players) don't try.

Lets hope SOD doesn't attempt to bring that type of character to AG.

Even if he did I think that they would get a culture shock cos he apparently won't put up with big time charlie egos and squashes the rather quickly.

    Just had another thought.
Did Danns play a competative match for Leicester reserve games and friendlies don't count. I think the rule states you can not play competative matches for 3 different teams in a year unless special dispensation is given such as in the case of a club going into liquidation/administration and having to lose the registration of their players there are another few exceptions but off hand I can't remember them.
