We still have Ledge and Morgan who have had a few games together, not the end of the world if we dont sign anyone else.
We need to bring in 1 more centre half Morgan, St. Ledger, new centre half and if we do need cover for them Ritchie De Laet can cover them
If we're going to use De Laet as cover then I reckon we'd need another right back. Unless Nige thinks Moore is ready.
Stating the obvious having just let two of our bigger players go for a song, I'm just curious who he has in mind as I doubt it would be you know who. How about NP addresses our midfield as well, surely that's an area that needs improving the most?
I don't think the midfield is bad at all. Nigel's job there is to get them playing close to their potential. No doubt that Danns, Drinkwater, Wellens, King and James could get into most Championship sides, it's just we havn't seen their form for a while. Danns will be vital to us next season IMO. Him and James I think could be a class partnership.
I agree on paper our midfield seems fine although IMO it lacks width, of cause it depends what formation he intends on playing and whether the players can gain their form again. I personally thought it was the midfield that let us down the most last season.
Oh I absolutely agree. A winger should be right up there in the wanted list. Marshall is the only one who is real quality and I don't think Dyer and Gallagher ave the consistency to be starters week in week out in a side pushing for promotion. Antonio would have been a good signing but Sheffield Wednesday have snapped him up for 800k.
winger would be nice, people say Marshall should be in the centre to score the odd 30-yarder, id rather he was on the wing helping setup more goals, as some of his crosses have been class.
Yes defo play Marshall on the right and buy a new left sided midfield leaving Lloyd as cover, Danns and Drinkwater in the middle and I think we'd be just about fine then. Of cause being greedy though I'd love a player in the mould of Scott Parker!
We just need a centre half and a winger really, aslong as apart from Peltier no one else leaves. If Beckford stays thats the strikers sorted All we need to do then is add depth to the squad
Who de we reckon for this centre half then? I think Matt Kilgallon or Anthony Gerrard would be good signings.
Naughty Bigfox, naughty! Anyway now he who should not be mentioned has been er mentioned, we won't pay over the odds for him and Hull won't sell him so really I think it may be a loan job!
