Regional rugby is never going to fill Football stadia.

The Blues & Ospreys got there sums wrong 4 or 5k crowds look awful.

If the contract is set up correctly there will be an early termination fee payable which will favour the bluebirds methinks.

Regional rugby has killed the crowds off anyways I spoke about this before!! N moving to the Cardiff City stadium was stupid and the crowds dropped again...the Arms Park is a great rugby stadia!! So close to the action, terracing n great location :)

What was the average crowds when The Blues played at the CCS?! 4000 or so what a difference 8000 :)

    Agreed,

I used to get to the odd game at Sardis Road (when there was no football) but would never think of going to see the Blues or Ospreys.

Yeah football fans forget regional rugby is like merging Cardiff n Swansea together to make one super club!! I doubt many Swansea or Cardiff fans will want to go and watch them n it's exactly the same as rugby... Ask anyone from
Pontypridd to the go and watch there regional team (The Blues) they put you right in your place...but it's great to see the Principality League pulling in great crowds :)

I'm with you Rhondda, used to watch the odd game at Sardis Road, usually midweek as I used to play on a saturday. With the demise of the Celtic Crusaders (or was it warriors?) I find it hard to follow a region. The WRU missed a trick with the franchises. They held the money, but let the clubs dictate. They should have set a region up in the North to tap into that pool of players and supporters. I've been to a couple B internationals at Wrexham and they always had a good crowd. Couple that with a west side (Llanelli, Swansea and Neath, a Glammorgan side (Ponty, Cardiff and Bridgend) and the Dragons as they are and there would have been a better affinity for supporters and greater overall support with the northern contingent.

I hope the Blues crowds improve on their return 'home' but hope Cardiff don't miss the revenue stream.
