Not a Chelsea man but an absolute legend in his own right and is an example of what you can achieve when you show ambition.

I have to admit when Sol moved to Arsenal I had doubts as to whether he'd step up and make it at a big club. It's easy playing for a small club in relegation battles being the big fish in a small pond but he went on to win the double with the Goons as well.

Sol seems like a top lad and I hope to see him on the sofa on MOTD soon instead of those 2 Scouse muppets.

And so they should. A great servant to them but in the end had to leave for a big club that could win things, I'm sure they understood the situation <ok>

Rumours him and Ljunberg were at it but he is married to a female I believe.

As it's 407 days since he last played I thought he had already retired anyway.

A gentle and dignified man, an impressive career, and an example to any aspiring Professional footballer. Enjoy your retirement, hope you do get into the media in some position, I suspect you will have a deep and intelligent opinion about our game.

Agreed. Dignified man who had to put up with horrific abuse. Just because he had ambition.

It amazes me how others could try and stop such an ambitious man and feel resentment towards him. The Spurs fans that abuse him are a disgrace and nothing but bitter and jealous after the loyalty Sol showed them for so many years, but Sol can console himself with the fact he has achieved as much with Arsenal as Spurs have in their 130 year history.

The only blip in his wonderful career was probably Notts County.

A great player. Legend for England.

Spurs took less than half their allocation for a Champions League place decider last night. Why would you stay a club where the fans loose faith in you so rapidly

I agree, it was the same at Wembley with fans turning their back on the team at 3-1 down.

In contrast Arsenal fans stayed till the end when 8-2 down at Old Trafford, that's the kind of support you want to play in front of.

We're here to congratulate a legend on his retirement as he has been a great servant to the game so I'd appreciate staying on topic.

If you'd like to talk about other things like fishing unfortunately Not 606 does not facilitate that but there are alternatives.

Thanks in advance for your co-operation <ok>

I salute the legendary Sol - one of the few players to feature in the two biggest clubs in London
