We will climb up the table if we play like that every week. Any team would be happy to have Diakite and Granero in their midfield.

I have to say that the Rs are starting to look good from box to box...

...But the problem is that they're still poor when either consistently defending their own box, or creating enough chances in the opponents.

I thought Granero, Hoillett, Taarabt, Bosingwa, Diakite, Traore and Park had good games, with Granero and Diakite the standouts for me.

I really don't want to dwell on the negatives for now, but I find Zamora and specially Cisse really disappointing. A bit unfair on Zamora who works hard, but isn't effective enough. Cisse may well just be a bit thick.

Diakite surprised me positively. I'm just curious why anybody from our team can't get at the end of Granero's crosses?

Great performance overall but someone really needs to tell Cisse how the offside rule works because my Mrs was shouting out and saying doesn't he know it the rules? I would love to know the stats on how many mins Cisse has played this season and how many times his being caught offside and I wouldn't be surprised that his probably the worse player for this in the Premier League

    PS

think Park had his best game in a blue n white shirt

Arsenal away next, I'll keep the faith beth but at this rate we'seriously looking at 3 points from 9 which is abysmal

Must be the HD TV pictures then. Park was almost invisible on mine, and when he did appear, he slipped over, lost the ball, or at best played a safe sideways or backward pass that my grandma could of managed. He missed a good chance too.

Zamora is our top scorer, though... isn't he?

Great summary Uber, top post. Just the way I see it too.

We missed Faurlin's incisive passing today, he has a superb nack of threading passes through for the forwards. But in the end I think we've seen our future centre duo in midfield today. Diakites pace absolutely vital if we're going to play two in the middle.
What I'd like to see though is a partnership of Diakite and Faurlin behind Granero with Adel and Junior on the flanks.

Thought Park made more of an impression on the game than Taarabt to be honest. Diakite, Granero and Bosingwa were stand out performances for me

Sadly it is irrelevant how good we play if we're not getting points on the board

Very disappointed at our inability to break Everton down in the last 30 mins

We seemed largely bereft of ideas going forward and there was a real lack of urgency in our play

At times we were passing sideways more than Swansea last season!

Urgently need a fox in the box!!

Let´s go for Soldado from Valencia in Jan, they are skint, he is a top striker and I´m sure Granero would love to play with him, those who don´t know him, he is an aggressive, energetic, technical striker with great ability on all fronts, a bit like Rooney was before he had that red squirrel stitched to his forehead!!.

Do you really think we could get him? He would be brilliant imo, could easily play for a top four side in the prem.
As a native, would you see us getting Soldado as a bigger shock than getting Granero?

Tbh, I thought Park was pretty ineffectual until the sending off. Hughes then moved him inside and moved Bosingwa up to play in the wide right berth. In this position he got on the ball and therefore involved in the game more. I thought he played well when this happened.

I don't think Park likes playing in an isolated role out wide trying to out-run full backs, he seems to prefer quick one touch possession. Being in the mix as it were, working the tight angles in tight spaces.

True - he would grace any team in the Prem but we got Granero which in my opinion is the greatest ´proven international´ signing the hoops have ever made. Granero oooooooooozes class. As for Soldado, well Valencia don´t pay the big bucks like Madracelona - so why not, don´t ask don´t get!!!

    international as in ´foreign´
