    Good afternoon fellow Jacks.

Afther the europhia of the play off final and now we are in the Premier League and the news that Darren Pratley, Dorus De Vries has left and possible one or two more with no fees in return.

I would like to get a honest and realistic idea on what type of player(s) you would like to see down the Liberty and a reason why you think they would be fundamental for us to stay up.

I would personally like to see a winger with pace to ease the burden on Scott Sinclair and Nathan Dyer personally.

And a striker on loan like Roque Santa Cruz?

Should we sign players on short/long deals or utilise the loan market?

    Be interesting on everybodies opinions.

Great keeper , especially in the air . Great stay at home CB . These two we must spend a bit on . Left Back that likes to move up here & there even if Taylor decides to stay . And a Sennasational , well experienced mid midfielder to drop in the middle of our young midfield . Have a great day !!

Cover for wingers, young striker to be Graham's no. 2, centre midfielder with grit (in the mould of Olifinjana i.e. a brute), new keeper and a couple of defenders. Be quite happy to get some in on loan with option to sign in January. I don't think we should get carried away getting big names in cos we don't want to end up like Pompey, Sheff Utd, ...

I'm sure Brendan is on the case and is working long hours as we speak.

I agree with you both but WHO would you sign? (Realistic targets)

    Centre Back - Matt Mills?

Matt Mills is an obvious call at CB, if Jack Hobbs hadn´t just been sold I´d still be banging on about signing him, especially at the price he went for!

The left back thing is easier to solve, there´s a few decent (if not amazing) options about... I forget most of the names but Steven Crainey would be alright for a season or two? David Vaughan maybe? He could probably do a job as an attacking left back...

Another striker would be nice. Read today that Chelsea are thinking of packing Sturridge off to the Toon for the year! We need to throw our hat in the ring on that one, definitely! Good football, a bigger striker to play off, Sinclair alongside him too... lots of reasons why it could work!

Also, we really, really need a keeper now! Hopefully this Polish dude is the business!

My suggestions are subject to availability and cost - loan where necessary plus option, or outright purchase.

Given in goal is a great shout suggested by another poster; or the Polish keeper. Senna would be great teamed up with a fit Bodde in midfield. There are a number of high quality left backs available and Taylor's transfer could subsidise the wages.

My wish for a commanding, experienced centre back is well documented (Mills?) and, if we are looking for an additional wide man, maybe we could consider Paul Anderson again. He has the pace and would fit in. There are a number of options for another striker but the best of them will be snapped up by clubs who can afford them. We will have to find an experienced pro coming down the ladder but who is honest enough to graft for his wages, or a quality young gun who will give everything to get established in the Premiership.

In a perfect world, Parma would ship Borini back to us on loan to further his education but I fear Buck believes that his striking options are limited, otherwise he wouldn't be considering Lita. Wonder if one of the Spanish strikers that have recently been touted will come to us?

The only thing i wish for is that Brendan does all his transfer business asap so a new squad has time to gel in pre season and not a week or two before the season starts.

I trust in Brendan but I hope we start to hear a few more names signed soon. We need a keeper asap and by the sounds of it that polish guy looks quite the business!

We need two keepers, one to replace Dorus and a decent backup (Yves is going surely?) so we can ship Cornell out on loan.

Assuming we get Caulker we need an expereinced CB as well to partner Williams with Caulker, Monk and Tate as backups.

We need a LB if Taylor leaves, possibly Bertrand. Tate can cover.

We need a RB at least to cover/compete with Rangel.

In midfield we perhaps need a physical presence to give us some options.

A pacy winger/striker who can provide an option up front and backup for Sinclair/Dyer

Should be noted not all of these need to arrive immediately, as long as we replace Dorus and get someone with premiership experience at either CB or CM I'd be just about happy to go into the first game with that. Probably best we dont go overboard in the summer anyway as our major advantage early on will be that the team knows how to play together, should allow us the same kind of start that Burnely and Blackpool got.

Mostly agent talk and many of these so called targets are rumours ...nowt more and nowt less.

BUT Polish keeper looks genuine and Caulker and Quinn of Shef Utd. Bid in for Lita so that must be a real target.Gudjonsonn may yet sign as well I feel

I'd say go for for Simon Cox,Paul Anderson,Peter Whittingham ,Kenny Miller and Jimmy Kebe

    McAnuff - Striker/winger
    Mills - CB
    Bertrand/Caulker - CB/RB/LB
    Samodeski(?????) - GK
    Whittingham - CM
That will do for a start
