I think after the Pakistan cricket board's reaction to the match fixing allegations and their response towards the England team in last year's series, I woulnd't have bothered with this test. I think there was a particularly bad taste left in the mouth and the allegations made against the England players alone is justifcation to not want to play them any time soon. If we were unable to arrange another fixture against another test playing nation, then why didn't we sort out some early preparation for the T20 world cup later in the year.
