This transfer window has been rather boring tbh - aside from Mahrez being linked with every top 6 clubs in the world, there hasn't been much gossip but here is the best I can find:

Apparently we have had a £2.5M bid for Marseille utility player Bouna Sarr rejected - is primarily a RW but has played RB which we need as we aren't linked with any other RB for some reason.

Leeds are favourites to sign Ulloa - unlike Aston Villa, they want a full transfer.

West Brom are interested in Musa - stumbling block would be that we want the bulk of the £16M we paid for him

That would be a dreadful signing for West Brom

Besiktas interested in striker Islam Slimani. Turkish club’s president, Fikret Orman, is in Leicester for talks. Leic will listen to offers but won’t let club record signing go on the cheap.
#avfc interested in taking Leo Ulloa on loan. A number of other clubs also interested according to Sky, not the most reliable source i know!

We have had another bid for Saar rejected - around the £3.5M mark. Saar has say he is flattered by the interest but the Marseilles chairman has said that he won't be moving in Jan, most likely because we are taking the mick with our bids.

Ulloa to Leeds is looking more viable - they want a full transfer and we are willing to sell if they meet our price. Dunno what that is - for some reason we gave Ulloa a new contract after his mardy fit last year.

Raul Uche has gone to Real Betis on loan - most likely to be in their B team. He hasn't been good enough to break into our u23 team so might become a permanent move.

We are apparently willing to take a £10M loss on Slimani - will accept an offer of around £20M.

Ulloa wont leave until the end of the window if he does go. In an idea world we sell Slimani and that means the club wont let Ulloa go

    Its one or the other

The one I'd like to keep is Musa. If we don't play Vardy we stick Slimani or Ulloa up front and have to change our whole style of play, and we never look convincing playing to a big but slow striker. The guy is the best like for like replacement for Vardy that we have. He has electric pace and he's still only 25. If Vardy were to get a long term injury we would struggle without a player who has the pace to make the types of run that he makes. Musa showed what he can do in the pre-season against Barcelona just before the start of last season, and he won't have lost any of that pace.

Whenever he's played in the league he's either been started as a winger or come on as a late replacement when we are looking to rescue a game. Like Demarai Gray, he will come good if he can get regular game time and be played in his best position. Obviously he can't replace Vardy now, but we should be playing him in the cup matches.

Puel has been impressed by Dragovic and is tempted to sign him permanently at the end of the season - no info if there is a price included in the loan deal.

CSKA are interested in resigning Musa - are willing to bid £4.4M and we might accept the loss to get rid of him ala Krameric.

The Besiktas chairman didn't just come over to talk about Slimani, but also about Iheanacho who impressed him vs Fleetwood - can't see him leaving if Musa goes and the odds on Slimani leaving have shortened quite a bit.

Genoa are interested in signing Benouone.

It comes down to would you rather have him or Iheanacho.

If the transfer rumours are to be believed, we will find out what the club decides soon.

Two very different types of player. Iheanacho isn't what I would call a main striker; he likes to player slightly behind. Musa suits our way of playing which means we don't have to compromise our main strength.

In our current squad I'd be prepared to lose Slimani and Ulloa and keep Musa and Iheanacho.

I'd say the opposite regarding Iheanacho - he needs to play as a #9 as he is a great finisher but his all around play is lacking.

Musa has just been disappointing - when he is running onto crosses, he is at his best but when doing anything else such as passing, crossing or scoring goals, he has been disappointing. Will put him on the list with Krameric as an expensive mistake.

Would keep one of Ulloa and Slimani - having a big bugger that can knock high ball down and get on the end of crosses is always worth having.

Think for the position we are in and the squad we currently have, we probably do need to ship a few out so that we can validate some spending in the summer. We are only really short an out-and-out right back, which this Saar guy looks to fill the gap.

Would rather keep Slim, think Ulloa will be back to wanting out again soon, so would rather it was him that left. Depends on if the the owners are looking to get the best value out of a transfer, in that case it will be Slim that leaves and Ulloa will be stuck again.

Musa has been unlucky that Vardys been relatively injury free, but the fact he didn't even get minutes against Fleetwood tells me that hes probably heading out for the first decent offer.

Benouone is linked with Rennes - he is 5th choice with Huth getting back to fitness.

We are linked with Dusko Tosic from Besiktas which doesn't make much sense as he is a 33yo CB - is Morgan out for a while?

We are also linked with "the next Pogba" Boubakary Soumare - most likely a rumour made up by his agent to get more money as he signed for PSG in the summer and has just broke into their first team.

Brighton are interested in King and their old boy Ulloa.

Chelsea are after Slimani as well as almost every other striker over 6ft tall - seems like they are playing football manager and have filtered strength and heading over 15.

    What are Chelsea smoking?

    Andy Carroll
    Peter Crouch
    Ashley Barnes

And now they have made an inquiry for Islam Slimani

Followed by Vokes and Woods from Burnley.

Wouldn't mind if they get Slimani to be fair, will probably the best offer we'll get for him, another £35m from Chelsea maybe? <laugh>

Rumours are Chelsea have agreed a deal for Edin Dzeko so their interest in Slimani is over.

We are linked with Monaco RB Almamy Toure.

What an awful deal that loan would be for us. At his age his value decreases by about £5-10m come the end of the season and he will make about 8-10 more appearances in all competitions, so where’s the benefit to us?
