Personally think this will be a day when no news is good news - certainly hope we dont go back in for Chambers. Riyad can tear up the league through to the end of December and get his move for decent money in the January window.
Silva apparently on the way to England to sign according to John Percy who is normally reliable. Would more than happily have him instead of Drinkwater
Silva could be a great signing, if we only lose Drinkwater I think it will have been a decent window.
Palace have agreed £26m for Sakho - that's the end of that. But then again another good from the past is rearing it's head - we are allegedly closer to signing Alekander Dragovic on loan who hopefully will be better then our last loan signing if true
I think we had a brilliant window. Only position where we didnt strengthen where I think was needed was right back. To have a potential line up like this is mouthwatering Schmeichel Simpson Maguire Dragovic Fuchs Mahrez Iborra Silva Gray Vardy Iheanacho
I really think it suits us more to set up in a 3-5-2 now rather than 4-4-2 given the signings Schmeichel Any of 3 Simpson Huth Maguire Huth Maguire Fuchs (depending if Fuchs is left centre or wing back) And that doesn't include Morgan and Dragovic Albrighton right and Fuchs or Chilwell left Silva Ndidi Mahrez or Okazaki or even Iheanacho could all play in the hole Vardy Slimani/Iheanacho
We have alot of flexabilty with the team now Defenders who can use the ball in Maguire and Dragovic, 3 quality midfielders in Silva, Iborra and Ndidi Numberous options up front with Vardy, Iheanacho, Okazaki, Slimani and Ulloa I think we will have abit more possession from now on. Obviously we will still try and get Vardy in behind but we have players who are more comfortable on the ball now IF Mahrez keeps performing how he has so far then this should be a very good season for us
With the squad we have now Shakey's tactical nous will now come to the fore. I think he has gone a long way to getting a team he is happy with and so far this season the club have recruited brilliantly. Some of his substitutions against Arsenal were questionable but that may be down to who was available and the excitement of getting an unexpected win. We now have a number of players who have yet to play together but potentially we could be brilliant. Looking forward to the Chelsea game.
We now have the best 'squad' ever assembled at the club ... plus some excellent prospects moving through the youth set-ups
Being rumoured that we might be looking to bring Bachary Sagna in as he's out of contract ... might still have a couple of season's in him.
He's still making the French squad and would at least provide decent competition / cover for Simpson.
I'd be happy with Sagna for back up. Free transfer so just wages, short term deal. I've never seen anything from him to think he's a trouble maker, seems like a decent pro who just gets on with it
