It's been announced that from 2020, England will have a winter break. If nowt else, we can discount a two week holiday in December as a reason our national team are ****!
More seriously a complete waste of time. The Clubs will play tournaments and friendlies to earn money whilst pretending it’s to keep the players fit. So in reality there won’t be any break whatsoever.
Are they just proposing to move a weekend game and play it mid-week between 2 Saturday games? If it's Christmas time then I assume there will be 2 or 3 games to reschedule?

Excellent idea. Depends on the nuts and bolts though. If there aren’t strict rules governing trips away and money matches then they’ve just wasted their time - or rather given the likes of Man C another avenue to generate more money to keep them out of reach.

The PL telling Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool that they can’t play friendlies and all those Clubs saying you’re right in the long term it will be bad for the game if we take advantage of this break to make a few extra million pounds by playing friendlies or...
