The wide positions have been a problem, so what do we do?
Waggy- should change position IMO; doesn't take his man on or get the crosses over.
    Green- Too inconsistent
    JJ-Simply not a winger.
When Pritchard came on and we played 3 up front with Haynes and BWP playing wide when needed it worked a treat. Could this be the blueprint for the future? I seem to remember someone on 'ere suggested something like this a few weeks ago. JJ would have to compete with the other 3 for a midfield position.

I don't mean to make him a scapegoat, but once again waggy did nothing but fall over and complain. If we are intending to play 4-4-2 then a new right midfielder is a must to compete with green.

4-3-3 could work, but our defence has won us the league this season, and you have to wonder if playing 3 instead of 4 in front of it could make it more vulnerable?

I remember when we went through our bad patch I suggested a narrow 4-3-3 (i.e three centre mids and three strikers). Perhaps it was myself you were referring to FHB :) I still think that would be a pretty great formation, but that said, we've reached 101 points this season by playing 4-4-2, so can't be that bad.

I agree RE Waggy, as much as his heart is in the club, all he ever does is fall over, he never ever takes on his man, he always lets the ball roll through his legs when we're on the counter attack (running sideways instead of forwards and thus ruins the whole counter attack). Aside from his knack of scoring goals, the only thing he seems to offer is his winning free kicks for us.

I like Green, he does grow very anonymous, but despite this he got 10 assists this season and does very little 'wrong'.

Chris said some months ago that strikers win you matches but defenders win leagues so I can't see us going with three up front. We really do need a proper left winger though.

All of these guys are decent wingers that we have a chance of signing

I don't think any of them are particularly better than Green.

Lee Cook - on a pay as you play - is a must.

Although left mid is a troublesome position for us, I just wouldn't be able to drop Jackson. This season and the previous season he has been a consistant goal threat I just couldn't drop him. Although moving him into the middle would be alright. For him to dropped would hurt him deeply I feel as he has been around for a while now and is our captain. I do like the 4 - 3 - 3 formation but we would have to rely on BWP and Haynes to drop back when we are not in posession.
