The 24-year-old centre-back hasn't featured for Wanderers since playing an hour in their 0-0 draw at Forest Green on July 18. And Blues boss Gary Waddock said Winfield is still a week away from a return to training and will miss the high-profile visit of Mark Hughes' Hoops on Tuesday night and will probably miss the trip to Cambridge on Saturday. He said: âDave won't feature on Tuesday. We are looking at possibly another week before he comes back into training.â It raises doubts about whether the defender will be fit for the start of the season with Wycombe visiting Watford in the Carling Cup on August 11.
