"How long before the first “is Neil Warnock really a Premiership manager” threads start appearing on message boards? A couple of consecutive defeats ought to do it I reckon. Warnock has rarely managed in the Premiership and has never been given an opportunity like the one Tony Fernandes has just presented him with. I think he’ll excel personally and I’m delighted for him, but having given himself a fighting chance I’m sure the more impatient sections of our fan base will be expecting his side to punch its weight. We’ve already had message board threads saying our signings should have been greater in quantity and quality which seems ludicrous given the circumstances."
Oh great! Another Warnock thread. Gives us all a chance to say things about him that haven't been said yet. Like what's his favourite colour?Food?Drink? Is he going to leave or wait to be sacked? Why can't we enjoy the moment and wait until a real problem arises before we hang him? We have nothing to complain about at the moment, maybe that's the problem.
Twins, problem is that with the Goons gone, transfer window closed and the next match a week away there is f*ck all to talk about hence the boring and repetitive stuff on here at the moment. For all my personal doubts about Warnock and his (improving) behaviour he has clearly earned a full premiership season, it's great that he has a supportive owner and 17th next May is still a good result.
Morning Twins, you alright? This is a transfer window thread, I took that para out, cos some of us have already started going down that road!
I hope he's right, both about QPR and City.... Am i the only one wincing with the amount of money we are paying out now to players not even in our squad....
We have all become baby jouno's hence the need to write about something. Its one of the social network diseases I'm afraid ... I find it very difficult as I supposed to be designing and drift away from what i should be doing just to comment couple that with our club's last couple of years then I say it's hard being a QPR Fan. Maybe now we can all enjoy a normal fan following as we have nothing to moan about apart from moaning about moaning. I try and escape if i can but not knowing about QPR is a awful cold turkey at times
That is spot on. Nobody would watch a soap opera full of contented suburbians. A happy club is a boring one and the football editorials will strain themselves to find a story or put us in an easy category (strugglers, big spending etc). Rs fans, in particular, are not used to stability and contentment and so will either start speculating about problems that aren't there or become a bunch of happy-clappy camp fire song-singing drones. We love the arguments and talking about our club and so will inevitably do the former.
Hi Northolt, only checking back in now. I see! I read the paragraph quickly, posted my comment and didn't get that angle in my haste. Too right!!
