If that is true, I don't think that would be a good move at this stage of his career football wise, financially is another thing, but to be at Arsenal and be in their development squad is probably not what he needs to do just now.

Brighton, Fulham, Hull and Portsmouth are also tracking the youngster, who is regarded as one of the best prospects outside the Premier League. But Arsenal are in pole position to snare Windass in the January transfer window after Gunners boss Wenger had him watched in Stanley’s 3-2 FA Cup first round win over York last Saturday. Windass, 21, capped an impressive performance by scoring from the spot to take his goals tally for the season to nine in 18 appearances. Windass, the son of Hull legend Dean, is out of contract next summer and has recently turned down the offer of a new deal with the League Two outfit. Wenger is keen to add top young home-grown talent to his title-chasing squad — and he is convinced Windass has all the makings of a real star of the future.

Be nice to see the Windass name associated with our team again, go get him Stevie, lad does look a prospect too
Will Dean advise him to come here? You would have thought so. Agree with John X, it'd be a wrong move to Arsenal. He's 21 and needs to prove himself in a hurry. That won't happen at Arsenal, as no one will see him outside of their reserves.
Would he really get into our first team squad? He's an attacking midfielder isn't he? Where Diame/Maloney/Huddlestone/Snodgrass all can play.
He's got a really **** collection of ink. He seems like a decent enough prospect though, he's quite mobile in midfield isn't he, covers a lot of ground. Could be a decent acquisition.
SHOT DOWN BY THE FORUM LOCALS! Call the sheriff, someone! I fear your memory is having a Brian Blessed moment. This is your suggestion, complete with the 1 (one) response it received:
To be honest I don't really think so. He'd need to go out on loan and Arsenal send their players to better teams than we can.
Said he looked useful against us in the cup game, think his best position is as a striker who drops off the front line a la Rooney and is a good finisher to boot. Will make it at a higher level without doubt so why not take a chance?
