I heard Wimbledon fans being interviewed about today's semi-final clash, and the vast majority want Federer to win. Is this because of admiration for Roger, or is it the "Anyone but Murray" syndrome?

Murray will never be liked by the English so long as I have got a hole in my backside.

    Come on Federer.

Thoroughly disagree with the opinion's regarding Murray-
Will go down as one of our greatest ever sportsmen, mainly through hard work and determination without being as talented as King Rog and Rafa etc. In an era of arguably tennis's greatest generation, hell of an acheivement to win grand slams.
Yes he's dull as dishwater but he's a sportsmen that we ought to be celebrating!

When you say 'our', do you mean Scottish?

Great Britain means nowt to me, especially when we're supposed to get behind the likes of Mo Farah, South African cricketers and Balkan athletes.

No thanks. I'll stick to our home-grown no-hopers.

Never really liked tennis. I have enough sport in my life watching, football, boxing, cricket and motor racing. I don't think I have time for anymore.

Three reasons I don't like Murray-

His snide pro independence comment on the eve of the Referendum. Why, when he lives in Surrey?

His "joke" about England at the World Cup. Racist.

    His curly hair.

Wimbledon would be much better if it was held in Milton Keynes.

    I like Murray.

And whatever you think about the man, he's involved in one great game of tennis right now.

So, which way will Vol and Ponders be cheering when Murray plays for Britain against France in the Davis Cup in a week's time?

Neither, FHB. If truth be told, I probably won't watch any Davis Cup tennis.

And do they really need to show Murray's mum after each point?

I've always declared my love for Scotland and it's scenery, heritage and people, but I'll never be big on the Great Britain thing.

No, nor do they need to show off their cameras which slow things down 500 times, just to try to make someone look silly. Really hacks me orft.

I generally go along with the UK as it is currently set up. I will support anyone Scotland, Wales etc are playing at Rugby, Football etc, so I have'nt got a problema if Murray says the same. tennis, the Olympics etc are done on a GB platform, so I go along with that and support the Brits, among them Murray. Yeserday, he lost to a player on fire, and no problem with that, and a bit sad, but Tennis is'nt a cornerstone of my life.
On a wider front, I wanted the Scots to stay in the unión (if it ain't broke, don't fix it) but loathed the fact the politicians seemed keen to offer bribes to them to stay in the final week, which basically seemed to be a poke in the eye for the rest of the UK. All this talk of South African cricketers and the like seems the usual drivel the UKIP fantasy party were drivelling about, and which the fast show used to mock so amusingly. Society of victims.

Anyone remember the classic episode of The Likely Lads, where Terry was going through all the nationalities, listing why he hated them all? In the end he said there were a few people in his own street he wasn't too keen on, in fact he wasn't too sure he liked himself. Comedy genius.

You normally come up with some good points, Ken, but the above is utter nonsense.

I'm certain there are sportsmen and sportswomen who declare their allegiance to GB/England/UK for the money and sponsorship. And who can blame them, eh?

This country will take anyone on if it means the odd bauble is (nearly) won.

    Yep, absolute genius.

And Terry's world view mirrors my own in many ways.

    I love myself, though.
