I quite like a bit of tennis so thought I'd do a thread. Wimbledon starts today Andy Murray starts his campaign and probably has a good chance to win it with Federer getting older and Nadal still recovering full fitness after injury. Wimbledon 2013: Andy Murray keeps it low-key in quest to win http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/23023014 Order of play link below..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/22713811
Andy has his best chance, I doubt the chances are good, but you never know I guess Maybe if Federer was on crutches and Nadal had to play with a colostomy bag and oxygen mask and cylinder Andy might win. Queue the scot losing or the Brit winning
Yep,get into a bit of Wimbledon.Usually quarter-finals onwards you can catch a good 4 or 5 set cliff hanger. The mens game is at a very high level at the mo. Don't mind who wins any of the various competitions,Murray will win it sooner or later.I predict Djokovic for the mens. The womens, don't really know,I hope it's someone other than a Williams sister. Scantily clad, sweaty young women, possibly grunting. What's not to like
Anyone but Murray really, he's just not a very likeable person. Apart from that, he's not as good as the other three; despite what his world ranking suggests. I think Novak will trash him on grass, Nadal has more experience in big game finals and Fed always brings his A-game to Wimbledon. Novak or Federer to win
Murray is better than people give him credit for, he is a ****ing good player. Has as good a chance as anyone imo - think Novak this year though
Murray is a very good player, people do realise that, the others mentioned though are just better players.
Can't see JWT coming through the side of the draw with Feds, Nadal and Murray.Guilty secret...I like Murray. the miserable ****er gets on my tits but I can't help admiring any player who works so hard to get the best of their abilities
Murray himself has said he may not win Wimbledon as he's a hard court player so always more likely in US or Australian. Although with injuries you never know. He should be fresh after missing the French.
Why is that? Do kids not play anymore because it used to be a conveyor belt of talent, men and women.
Could be playing different sports ( growth of footy/soccer) , economy and Tennis being an expensive sport possibly? I don't think we have anyone even close to becoming good on the mens side?
