Hello and welcome to the all new and improved Match day Hub which is now the official place for Gillingham fans, I decided to update this so that you will know where to go and chat before and during the game.

I always post this a few days before the match so you can start to create a debate before the game on what you think will happen in the upcoming game, you can post who you think should play in the game and why. In addition to that you may share with us what you think the team will be that plays as that may be different to the team which you think should play, if you think a certain player should not play you can share with us the reason why as it is good to know what the fans think about the team and why certain players should not be in the team if you want to tell us why.
So all you need to do is post your starting 11 plus the 7 which you think will be on the bench, you may be correct or not but it don't matter as no points are awarded it is just for fun.
If I am not at the game I will normally post updates about what is going on and the team which is playing, but when I go to games I write up a match report afterwards.
You can post freely during and after the game sharing your opinion with us on the result and what you thought of the players who played. If you go to the game it would be great if you could write up a match day report telling up what you think of the result and what you rate each player out of 10 giving a reason why.
This is open to both Gillingham fans and also the opposition, don't be afraid to post just because you are not a Gills fan if it is friendly banter that is allowed.
    Have fun and debate freely!

Just want to add aswell if you do any bets you can share with us what you think is the best bet, I do bets each week so I will share them with you if you want.

Just cannot make a call on this game in regards to the challenge ahead. AFC Wimbledon are just so unpredictable, take a look at their last four games...

Wimbledon 3-1 Bristol Rovers Tue 23 Oct
Fleetwood 1-1 Wimbledon Sat 20 Oct
Wimbledon 1-2 Cheltenham Sat 13 Oct
Plymouth 1-2 Wimbledon Sat 6 Oct

Not quiet sure what MA was doing tinkering with the squad at Torquay, whether it was forced changes or tactical foresight, maybe even beyond the Gulls game. People will obviously point towards our continued team rotation for which I disagree. The team had started to take some shape and although there was much rotation to get it there, other changes have been minimal and for purpose.

I am a little unsure on our injury front at the moment so here goes...

    Nelson

    Fish
    Flanagan/Davies
    Barrett
    Jackman

    Vincelot

    Whlepdale
    Payne
    Montrose

    Weston
    Kedwell

I will be at the game tomorrow.

Wimbledon seem to be getting the goals however they let a few in, we should be able to get goals against them and also our good defensive record is on our side.

Northampton Saints are at home against Saracens in The Arriva Premiership with a 3 o'clock kick off! They brought the Northampton Town game forward an hour to avoid traffic congestion!

Yee ha..........just got in! Inspirational signing or what. No one will get the scorer right on BRB's prediction league this week! A bummer about Torquay the other night an 8 point lead would be nice, promoted by Christmas would be nice..... Who cares about keeping it competitive until the end? B******s.....I just want promotion, style and a fair few hammerings dished out. We've waited long enough....RESULT especially with Port Vale being turned over.

Great win for us and myself as my dad is a wimbledon supporter as well as a terrific signing by MA in vince but I wonder what happens when we need our strikers to start scoring from open play. I am over the moon about the rest but as a cautionary note we do need to get our strikers boots on and banging the odd one in if only for their confidence. I am sure we will need it come the end of the season.

I'd be worried if the rest of the team were not scoring. We have a +goal difference of 20. Unlike Port Vale......when Pope does not score....Vale lose, we are bubbling throughout the side. Mark Pope etc.......however, how does a team mark ten opposing players????....and still play a game of football? If we had 10 players (all in single figures ...9) scoring....it still racks up a hell of a scoring total. Last season, we got the goals........this season we have the defence too. Rock on!!!!!

I thought it was a really strong performance. A team of good performers with no apparent weakness anywhere. I worried that Frampton might get the run around from somebody quick but it just never happened and the rest of the defence was magnificent. I thought Montrose deserves a mention. He looked clumsy and misplaced a few passes but when it came to winning the loose balls in midfield he was awesome. Kedwell and Weston always looked dangerous especially in the first half but overall it was just a great team performance.

It was the worst second half of football I've seen from the Gills all season. Didn't like the sit back and defend mentality; certainly not what I expected from a Martin Allen side. That aspect itself was a bit disappointing but I suppose you cannot complain about a scrappy win at Wimbledon bearing in mind their recent upturn in fortunes.

In the first half Myles Weston was the stand out player so why he was the only player to be substitued baffled me. Vincelot was also full of running despite not having an awful lot of game time so far this season. Kedwell had a shocker against his old side and Strevens unfortunately was non-existent from start to finish. His inclusion didn't surprise me but the fact that he lasted the entire game did.

If AFC had been a little more clinical then perhaps they would've gotten the draw that their second half display deserved; they're not a fantastic team but we made them look a lot better in the second 45 than we should've done. All in all, a decent win under the circumstances, and nice to see a talented bench with the likes of Allen, Martin and Burton not in the squad.
