    Lawrie Wilson has Tweeted to say that he has left Charlton. Lawrie was an honest yeoman in my opinion, but with a technique which made Bradley Pritchard look like Lionel Messi.

    Social media is reporting that Jack Munns has left Charlton, and is joining a Conference club. Is this apparent step down a surprise (question to those who watch our Under18s etc)

    Luzon has said on Israeli TV that Tal Ben Haim has had other offers, and won't be with us next season. A shame if that is the case, we are weak in that area.

    PS : the CAFC comms department as played a blinder this week with all of the above news, as usual.....

    I think Jack Munns might be able to play in Div2. On the OS it states that the released list will be put up soon. Don't hold your breath. I have heard that Osbourne, Cumberbatch, Browne, have been released. We haven't heard of new contracts for Johnson and Eagles. Obileye is also out of contract and with Ben Haim going we are seriously short of Centre Half's. It is good that Terell Thomas has signed on for a further two years. With Bulot and Buyens going back to SL, we really need to bring in a number of players who are going to improve the squad. Get that cheque book out Roland.

    Tal Ben Haim
    Simon Church
    Chris Eagles
    Roger Johnson
    Lawrie Wilson
    Oguchi Onyewu
    Neil Etheridge
    Jack Munns
    Harry Osborne
    Harry Gerard
    Kadell Daniel
    Kurtis Cumberbatch
    Kieran Monlouis
    Rhys Browne
    Levander Pyke

    That's the full list, only player I would of like to have kept would be Ben Haim but he doesn't want to stay, but overall no complaints. Did any of the u21's deserve a renewal Dick?

    Still need to get rid of some ****e such as, Callum Harriott, Christophe LePoint, Loic Nego, Reza, Polish Pete, The Serbian GK and there is probably some more that I have forgotten about.

    Most of the U21s are average, the crop of players from the U18s is better.

    No real surprises. There was some worth in TBH, but thought a lot of errors were creeping in to his game.

    Losing a couple of centre backs has me believing Gomez will still be here next season. Hope is factored in to it, but Bikey is expected to move on too - would we really get rid of all 4 centre backs?

    Roger Johnson not on that list, but social media reporting that he is off to the MLS.

    The vast majority released are chuff, but it highlights that the Club really needs to pull its proverbial finger out in the recruitment department this summer.

    I would not be too sorry of Bikey, Wiggins, Fox, LePoint and Moussa joined the exodus. and Harriott, of course. That leaves us with about 4 players.

    i think fox and wiggins are good enough for us. fox as back up, and wiggins if he gets a full pre-season in.

    harriott - would love to see him leave. natural level of league 2 i think.

    Wiggins is good enough but injuries are slowly taking their toll on him. I'm happy for him to be number 1 next season but if he doesn't make 30-35 games a question mark will soon follow.

    Eagles was one I had high hopes of, and a sneaky part of me wanted him to stay, but really, he did'nt quite do enough. Mind you, we really will need to rebuild completely. A lot of those who have'nt left are'nt really here anyway (Polish Pete for one). Should be an interesting summer.

    I too hoped Eagles would be an answer. I was a fan of his going back to when he was breaking through at Utd, and 18 months ago he would have made a bigger impact.

    I just hope his release coincides with the club stepping up their player recruitment.

    I too had high hopes for Eagles, but he failed to soar in a Charlton shirt, and was getting the bird from some Charlton fans at St Andrews recently. He compared poorly to JBG in that position. For the life of me I cannot see Wiggins ever returning to being the player he was...it's not just the serious injuries...he seems to pick up minor ones very easily, and his weight becomes an issue as a result. Fox is simply too slow. And poor on the ball to ever cut it at Championship level. He is so easy to turn and so slow at closing down his winger.

    When you take out some of the duffers they have retained, including Bikey, Moussa and Le Point, it is clear after the exodus this week that we need at least 10 players. A huge challenge for our glib and naive 30 year old corporate lawyer friend in high heels...

    So at the moment our first team would look something like:
    Henderson;
    Solly;Gomez;Bikey;Wiggins;
    JBG;Cousins;Jacko;Harriott;
    Watt;Igor.

    Then you come to the bench:

    Dmitrovic;Barnes;Obileye;Fox; Diarra; Ahearne-Grant; Holmes-Dennis;

    Something like that.

    I'd suggest Diarra is ahead of Jackson in the pecking order and rightly so, you have also forgotten about Moussa who I feel can play a part next season provided he has a proper pre season and can stay fit.
