    Not impressed.
I would rather we'd gone for technical instruction for our kids of the type seen on the continent, rather than some barking Scotsman who will get them running all day but not know what to do with the ball or how to do it

Rickster and Redprintt - you don't know anything about this guy, his methods, his tactics, nothing whatsoever and already, you slag him off

Its only because the only way I can see us jumping up a couple of levels is by developing a winning youth academy, and I've said all along that I would rather see SL plough some serious money into that than a short term big name signing that will last a couple of years then leave. To get our youngsters playing like say Swansea would take a coach who could help those kids develop their skills, and teach them how to play tactically. Nothing against Scots particularly (and I'm a big fan of McInnes by the way), but I would much rather have seen a far larger youth operation led by a Spanish or French director who could develop the kiddies in that way.
In terms of importance for the future I see this issue as paramount. The better the youth academy, the more chance of attracting the better kids.

"In being part of the FA, Marc has had the best education in how to get the best out of our eight-to-11 year olds.""

Forgive me if i'm wrong but that sounds to me a bit like a drill sergent
However, I've expressed my opinion and now we wait to see how they turn out

    'Underwhelmed'

To fail to excite, stimulate, or impress.

It could be a great appointment. Introduce the lads on the first day to Willie McStay and sack all the ones that burst into tears with laughter. The rest will be winners!
