Pompey fan in peace. For the three points? The Scummers down the road think you are easy meat and are expecting a pony fiddling 2 or 3 Nil win. Has ' Arry got it in him to conjour up a win for the 'R's? I am posting what they think of you , what are your thoughts guys , can you turn it around or will you just get turned over? Saints v QPR match thread [Images removed for Guests - please log in to see this image.] Saturday 27[/SIZE]th September 15:00 Match Appointments Referee: Mark Clattenburg Assistants: J Collin, S Beck Fourth Official: J Linington OK so we’ve got a long way to go to beat the current Saints club record 10 match winning run but we can make it 6 wins in a row by beating Arry, Glenda and QPR on Saturday. Saints go into the game in tremendous form and the players confidence must be sky high. QPR on the other hand have struggled a bit on their return to the top flight and have major injury worries especially in midfield. Their recent signing from Spurs, Sandro is out after celebrating a goal in training so Arry only has Fer, Henry and Kranjcar fit for Saturday. Saints have lost JWP and Toby and Maya may not be fit. Ron has a few selection decisions to make especially up front where he has to decide whether to start with Mane or Long? I thought our midfield were awesome against Arsenal as was Targett so will Cork and Bertrand be able to get back in? I think I’d go with Fraser Clyne Fonte Gardos Bertrand Wanyama Morgan Davis Tadic Pelle Mane Subs KD Targett Maya/Toby Cork Reed Mayuka Long We’ve got a decent record against QPR but we all know there are no easy games at this level. I’m going for a 2-0 home win with Pelle and Long scoring. Let’s keep this winning run going COYR!
What's the point of this thread? It's hard to get riled up over a match thread, the body of which is a list of injury details. "there are no easy games at this level" hardly suggests they think we are "easy meat," as you put it. You can hardly begrudge a Saints fan for predicting a 2-0 for their team as, as tragic as it is, based on current form and our away record, that's probably quite kind.
I think its a fair thread. Portsmouth hate Southampton, probably as much or more then we hate Chelski so obviously want us to win. Problem is I think we will get turned over.
I don't think many QPR fans needed a thread to tell them Portsmouth don't like Southampton. When it gets to this level of interest in your rival, it comes across as petty.
This has only scratched the surface of the level of pettiness (desparation) Skates will stoop to, jealousy is such an unattractive trait I find.....
Will our team fight? Yes. 3K+ R's will demand our players give their all. Will we be good enough to avoid defeat or even win, only time will tell.
QPR fans have to understand that hatred for Saints is SB3's entire raison d'etre. He is more concerned with any possible misfortune we may suffer than any good fortune the Skates may have. Sad person! BTW we don't like 'arry and aren't too fond of Glenda, but speaking personally I have only fond memories of the QPR team of the 70s.
Have to agree about the QPR team of the mid 70s...I can remember being gutted that Liverpool pipped you for the title in 1976 (a very good year!) Stan Bowles was a particular favourite of mine, along with Alan Hudson at Stoke and Tony Currie, it is criminal that these flamboyant players only won a handful of caps between them....Too much flair for "Dirty" Don Revie I guess.
Have to agree with you there was a huge amount of talent about in the mid 70's most of whom were unappreciated by the national team manager..... Regarding the great R's side of 75/76, we did some reminiscing last night on the "low crowd" thread started by a pompey poster about how Loftus Road once held 35k compared to the miserly 18k it can hold now and posted the TV coverage of the final game of that season against Leeds so that our younger contributors could get some idea why we hold that side in such high regard......If only this seasons lot could reach such dizzy heights!!!!!!
I think he secretly wishes he was one of us. Just like how the most extreme homophobes always turn out to love cock.
Won't 'Arry be pleased ?! Taken from the Mail Online Portsmouth get more fans to watch League Two draw with Wycombe than QPR manage for Premier League clash against Stoke Eight more fans at Fratton Park than Loftus Road on Saturday. 16,163 watch QPR's 2-2 draw at Stoke, earned by brilliant last minute Nico Kranjcar free-kick 16,171 enjoy Pompey's point at home to Wycombe three divisions lower _______________________________________________________________- This is how the thread started on the skateboard.......I'm not even sure who they are trying to wind up now......probably HMRC knowing them little bill dodging scamps.
