Murdochs empire via Sky has destroyed sport that used to be available via terestrial television to everyone, i worked most of my life in the print, and he was responsible for taking scab labour into Wapping, i have never had Sky or read any of his journals. The man is a parasite.
Was he aware of what was going on at the NOTW ?, be a bloody poor boss if he did'nt.

It's pretty grim isn't it. I don't buy the sun or any Murdoch media I prefer to get it elsewhere, preferably from the source so I guess I'm in.

Hacking victims of horrendous events and their families is pretty much horrendous in my opinion...

I strongly disagree. I have worked in print since the mid 80s and I applaud what Murdoch did in breaking the print unions. They symbolised all that was wrong in the bad old days of the 70s and 80s with the closed shop. I say good on Murdoch at least he had the balls to stand up to the unions that were sucking the lifeblood out of this country.

Somebody in a position of great power within his sordid organisation has sanctioned this, and they as well as the actual phone tappers need to be dealt with extremely severely.

JWM, must agree with you that Murdoch stood upto the union, yep he in cahoots with the Thatcher goverment certainly helped put the country in the ****e it's in now.
You started in the trade in the mid 80s, i started in the early 60s so probably know a bit more about management tactics than you, i will agree that that some practices were outdated, but without the union management would have run amok, i know,i was there.

Any way this is a football site, so lets talk football, it would appear that we may be taking on one of your old boys, Alan Lee,what do you think, worth a punt?

Fair play Monarch my politics are obviously very different to yours a bit like our football teams! <ok>

Alan Lee would do a good job for you guys. He still lives on the Essex/Suffolk border as he loves the area. Good solid signing will get you goals def worth a punt!

Just one quick question football related. If Alan Lee does sign for Colchester will this make him the only player ever to have played for Ipswich, Norwich and Colchester?

I started to boycott everything to do with him the day I left the country.
I no longer read newspapers and can not get Sky TV, though must admit I do miss the football on Sky.

As most people on snakepit will already know, I have a pathalogical hatred for all things to do with Murdoch. I am one of the few who don't and won't have Sky!
What is coming out in the news at this time just re-enforces everything I thought about the evil empire!
To ALL who reads this and tries to defend what's happened, you are as bad as the rest, it is INDEFENSIBLE! The low lives who came up with the idea should be named and shamed, publically humilated and locked away forever. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES!!!!!

So I take it you wont want to borrow my copy of the Times then! <laugh>

What Bob Maxwell did back in the early 90s when he stole the pensions of all the Mirror Employees was pretty dispicable also.

We're not talking about Maxwell. Keep going back in history you can find many examples of henious people, BUT NO EXCUSES for what they did.
Murdoch and his empire are responsible for the state of football today, and the loutish behaviour of the so called top flight players, but this business is about as vile as it comes.
No I don't want to borrow your copy of the times, I wouldn't wipe my arse on any of his rags.
I am quite honestly shocked that you find this subject cause for amusement and are trying to defend it.
Dave & Thai, I find this subject very offensive and feel you should consider removing it.

So much for freedom of speech hey ILD! Just because you
don't agree with something you want it removed! I tend to live by the mantra "I may not agree with what you say but I will defend to the last your right to say it!"

I hope this thread does not become personal. I will draw the line at that point.

Maybe just leave the post as it is.

You are both entitled to your views and clearly you will not agree, so best to just leave it at that <ok>
