I personally think de matteo deserves a chance irrespective but i doubt that will be romans train of thought. Guardiola's name is being touted about but not sure if he will suit chelsea. I would wish you luck.....but im an arsenal fan so i would be lieing :p

One bookie has already paid out on RDM...he has been helping with next seasons preparations, ie signing Marin...two finals, a decent run with a team that was in disarray, and now fatigued...

I fully expect him to be there next season<ok>

Robbie has to be the one! Roman has Chelsea through him like a stick of rock and if he wants the best for the club he must have learned from knee jerk decisions in the past! ROMAN--ROBBIE HAS EARNED APPOINTMENT! PLEASE DO THE NECESSARY!

Not sure it's about the guts to make the changes, more about the support. For example, if he thought that it was time to move on Drogba, Essien, Malouda and let Lampard go to the US, would he get full support from Roman, the fans and the other remaining "senior" players?

For me, if he gets the job (and I would like to see that happen), everyone needs to accept that change is likely and that he should be given the opportunity to do so -without everyone turning on him if we don't win every game we play.

As an outsider looking in, it seems to me that Di Matteo, if he gets the job full time, will start the summer in almost the exact same position as AVB. An aging squad which he needs to phase out and bring in solid replacements whilst trying to stamp his own mark on the club and live up to Abramovich's expectations.

I like Robbie, geniunely nice guy and one of my favourite players of the 90's but is he actually better than AVB as a manager? Will he go on to do what he couldn't do?
So far, it seems to me that he's come in, the players responded better (for whatever reason) but he continued to rely on the usual suspects in the games which count - ie, not actually changing much. So, when the time comes when he NEEDS to change things up, will it go well for him?

PS. I hope we beat you in the FA cup!

Drogba and Lampard are the oldest followed by Malouda, Terry and Cech who turns 30 in a couple of weeks.

It's not really that old any more...

Drogba is yet to sign and extension and Malouda will be on his way in the summer...
