... not to make more sectarian statements and what plans do they expect to be put in place ffs. I'm liking this club less and less by the day. Wigan Athletic have written to their League One rivals to warn clubs that the Football Association will charge them if the Republic of Ireland international James McClean is subjected to sectarian abuse in their stadium. Wigan, whom McClean rejoined last week, sent a letter to clubs on Monday advising them to “consider putting plans in place to respond to any inappropriate or unlawful chanting”. It is a proactive move by Wigan, for whom McClean played previously between 2013 and 2015. https://amp.theguardian.com/footbal...bs-will-be-charged-if-james-mcclean-is-abused
**** him, who the **** does he think he is to spout his **** in balaclavas and not expect it back? And **** Wigan also
I always found their fans a bit strange and insular with chips on their shoulders about other clubs, so I never cared for them as a club, but this just takes the biscuit. It's drawing attention to him and what about his behaviour on social media? No excuse for any discrimination from anyone, but he could deliberately goad other clubs fans on twitter, knowing some nuggets will react and get those clubs in to trouble. That's not to say its inviting idiots to do it anyway. Irs a strange move that I can't get my head round why they've done it
