I think you will but would have been more confident with Joka in charge, simply because he knew the squad and was a very good tactician by the use of substitutions! <ok>

Have to see how quickly the new players fit in - they might be better quality but we will need to start well.

Bit concerned that the likes of Holebas might not want to really be here.

Certainly need to keep the main 3 strikers fit.

    Nearer 10th than 17th.

Regarding Holebas I think someone at the club let the cat out of the bag before it was a done deal and his comments were more covering his back with the Roma fans. Reading his biog there's no question as to his drive and commitment so far as I can see.

With our additions so far I think we are in with a good shout of a lower mid-table position.

Bournemouth and Norwich to go back down (sorry Dave). And if I were a Villa fan I would be getting worried already.

Yes. The Pozzo's have shown their intent by our summer signings. I suspect near the bottom of the table but I think we may surprise some.

Bournemouth will stay up but Norwich and Watford should be thinking about the Championship next season

Bournemouth, at 6/4 to go down, is one of the best investments available anywhere on earth.

Survival is a lottery for many clubs, but I really do feel we are giving ourselves every chance although with so many new signings the team will have no honeymoon period to gel.

I still just don't get how the bookies put us that much behind Bournemouth. I never bet but we're 6/5 to stay up so I may just join one of the betting sites and use the free bet to have a punt. The bookies don't seem to change their odds with new signings-I'm sure if we signed Messi our odds wouldn't change!

There is something wrong with the odds of Bournemouth 6/4 to go down and us at only 6/5 to stay up . If they make us odds on to go down then we should be higher than 6/5 and if anyone knows of us at 6/4 or better to stay up im on for 100

Didnt you know, we've had 376 managers/coaches in the last month. Its chaos and we're doomed, doomed I tell you :emoticon-0107-sweat.

I suspect it's the belief that Eddie howe is a football genius and the Pozzos pick our new managers out of a lucky bag - and doubtless because we've got lots of foreigners in our squad that the media has never heard of so we can't have any chance. I've never been a Keegan fan but if we stay up "I would love it - absolutely love it"

I think you're right. For some reason they love the Eddie Howe 'factor' (whatever that is) even though he too is completely untested in the Prem.

If the bookies looked at the facts, 1) they won the league we was runners up 2) they stole 4 points off us 3)then there is the FO factor yes i know that to some people F,O means go away, but i mean the fall over factor . If there is a strong wind then Calum Wilson will fall over and it will take 6 months for the refs to stop giving him fouls and that why he will score more than troy

Ok guys heres the plan , we lose at Everton then draw at home to WBA our odds go out to 2/1 to stay up then we all pile in and as we end up mid table our winning pays for next season ST . Is everyone with me ? PS dont tell anyone if the bookies know we are coming they will call it insider trading LOL

Not impressed with Bournemouth's signings so far. I am pretty confident, if nothing else, we will finish above them.

They brought a defender to play in their Under 21 squad which was a bit strange..

The plus for Bommie is they will have largely the same squad as last season so as a team and unit this should be a strength. It was not enough for Burnley as they did not possess enough flair players and were badly effected with injures to front players. Where Bommie will also be different to Burnley is if they feel they need to spend to keep them in the EPL they have an owner who is not to concerned with how the bottom line of the balance sheet reads. Without stating the obvious they will either flourish and finnish inside the top 12 or will be the whipping boys, I do not see them as just scraping by and staying up last game or something.

Last season interestingly they struggled against EPL teams in the cup and against Liverpool in particular gave them a better game season before last against Sturridge and Suarez than the Liverpool team of last season.
