I know at the end of the day football is all about getting the result but do you think we will see some entertaining stuff being served up from Di Canio's side? Now with 4 signings pretty much nailed on and in the bag to be unveiled on the 1st of July in the form of Lazio's Modibo Diakite, Fc Basel's Cabral, Le Havre's El Hadji Ba and Maritimo CB Valentine Roberge it seems there is going to be a new look to SAFC and I sure we are for from finished. With 11 weeks or so to the start of the premier league campaign I am sure that we will splash a bit of cash, maybe not 50m or so but I think it will be a canny bit more than 10m as it has been suggested on here by a few. I just want to see a good Sunderland side, playing some good attractive football and competing in the top not bottom half of the league
You never know what's gonna happen until they kick a ball. What a do expect to see though is a side that for 90 mins can chase and heavily pressurise the opposition when we don't have the ball at our feet. I still expect to be a counter attacking side. All im hoping is that we up more points than last season and see a better level of professionalism shown from our lads, the majority of which already do
Be interesting to hear what the pundits reckon in August. I think we may get widely different assessments. Could get some decent odds on a top 8 finish. ... or relegation - personally, I think we're in for an interesting season and some exciting footy. Let's get Benteke!
I'c be happy just to see us not struggle and be able to compete in matches, not just be there to make the numbers up. I want to see a bit of passion and a desire to win, not 11 players just going through the motions as we did for most part of last season under MON. A top half finish would be excellent progress for PDC's first full season, i'd settle for that and a few exciting wins along the way.
Of course we will see god footy at the sol. Manure / Spuds / Gooners are all still in the prem aren't they? x
Highs and lows, hopefully the highs will be more frequent than the lows................if effort = success then PDC will be successful, if only if it were that simple.
I feel the media will be waiting with sharpened knives hoping that PDC fails, we will be in this on our own next season, we have to have a siege mentality if the season gets off too a poor start, none of us know how things are going to shape up, its fingers and legs and everything else crossed, but I feel if PDC can contain himself with interviews and handling the players then we cannot possibly have as ****e a season than we just witnessed. Only time will tell, where the f..k is mystic meg when you need her, then at least we would all know how next season will pan out.
Be worth buying him just so you can't use the twat against us Mind, he was awful when we spanked you 3-0 at SDA
We all really thought that last season would be a good year back in August but it never got going and MoN paid the ultimate price a few months later. Now there is a similar air of expectation amongst fans at the mention of a handful of unproven foreign free recruits. They may well all hit it off from day one and we will see a very good season of attractive attacking football, or equally, if they don't gel quickly and hit the ground running (and there looks like there will be 7 or 8 at this rate to do so) then we could just as easily struggle badly and maybe have a difficult choice to make next March/April? I pray for the former and dread the latter but as always with SAFC, it wont be straightforward imo, whichever way it goes.
you really are a miserable person , for ****s sake a ball has not been kicked yet and all you can do is piss us all off with how safc might fail in this revolution under pdc and es. you must have brown eyes ,because you are full of bitter and twisted ****. Keep scrubbing that tattoo, what a ****head you are.tried of being polite , but you are bringing gloom to all posts concerning the future, you dont know who these players are by your own admission yet still you moan about the fact you have reservations overall about the prospects in front of the club. you never know you might enjoy football again , stop being predictable and open your mind to change.
At least PDC is facing up to the challenge and actually trawling the Bosman signings something Bruce & MON never tended to do. PDC seems to have a team working to a common cause to improve the Sunderland team and they are not shirking from their responsibilities IF the rheteoric actually converts into tangible signings. Say what you like about PDC, he has gone a bit quiet of late.........yet there is still a buzz around Sunderland.
Its not all about you y'know, if you want to have a personal vendetta then do it to his inbox because frankly this is getting a tad boring, every post ends up in a spat and its stifling good topics.
I'm going to correct myself here, MON signed Cuellar on a Bosman, however I still maintain neither he nor Bruce made the most of these type of signings.
