Van Persie has scored 33 goals now in all competitions so far this season. Whilst Liverpool players have scored a combined number of 26 in the league (30 if you include the own goals). Will we score more than Van Persie by the end of the season?

Just before christmas we were all saying the goals will start to come soon and Van Persie will get his annual injury crisis, now here we are heading into the last quarter of the season and nothing has changed. So...place your bets now. <ok>

Well...Arsenal have no cup games left and if you only count league form we are tied on 26 goals a piece. <yikes>

What a player, he was the forgotten man at Arsenal at the start of the season but he's really shone this season. What I'd give for a striker like him at Liverpool.

I believe its 5 pts from 24 in the league recently, if we lose 2nite Kenny will be under serious pressure and rightly so IMO

JWH said top 4 minimum requiremnt, he must stick to that statement come the summer

Yeah but if we lose you have to remember the important things...

    • We have a legend managing the Club.
    • The players are smiling in training.
    • We are 1 point ahead of where we were this time last year, an improvement.
      <ok>

If you are not happy with mediocre football then you should go support Barcelona, Real Madrid or Swansea City. Thems the rules. <ok>

I know what you mean mate some people get the hump when Kenny is criticised

Facts are he has had the backing and hasnt delivered, I knew we were gonna have a s*it season after the transfers, and no the League Cup is nowhere near good enough for this club. The PL is full of mini leagues now,and we are bottom of ours.Kenny has made an awful lot of mistakes, and if you listen to pundits from years ago, he doesnt have any tactical acumen whatso ever, he just says go out and play, when he makes his late subs truth is, he doesnt know what to do.This season should be his last as manager, and it will be best for the short trem future of the team if it is, he should go upstairs, stand aside, you can dress it up however you like.He had the chance to buy TOP QUALITY in the summer, it will be MUCH HARDER to get that quality this summer .Benitez would a lot better option than Kenny but I personally be looking for someone better than him

I think FSG being outsiders the one thing we will do is make a decision based on cold hard facts and not on sentiment. With Mourinho possibly on the market it could all go against Dalglish.

I'm an Arsenal fan, and grew up when LFC were dominant, so quite enjoyed the reversal of fortune between LFC and ManU in th e90s, but I have always had the utmost respect for LFC as an institution and its link to its core local support. I would like to see LFC up there challenging.

I really hooped that Dalglish would be the answer, partly because he showed a lot of class in the way he handled tragedies, and partly because he had a way of winding up SAF which added to the pantomine of English Football. I would be sad to see him go, and I hope that he gets at least one more year.

When you look at performances LFC have played well, just been poor, really poor, at converting chances to goals. An on form striker even someone of average quality will net you more than a top striker in bad form (Tores, Saurez).

SO, if he is being judged by results, then yes he could be criticised, but from what I have seen the team isn't far off being amongst the best. As far the poor display against SUnderland, well, every team, even Citeh and United has at least 3 or 4 bad performances a season.

  9. IMO, it is never as simple as top four or your out. Obviously, failure to achieve your target is not good enough but there is a fine line between failure and success at times. The fact that most of us think the introduction of just one player would have made a massive difference to our season would suggest that we are not a million miles away.

It's scary that if we had that one player we'd double our goals tally. Talk about a one man team... I'd swap all of our summer buys for him.

Goals is all we lack, and we must fix this in the summer. No excuses.
