Just thinking that when City get back from Slovenia the clock will be ticking towards the transfer deadline date. We never seem to do any significant transfer dealing while these camps are happening and someone at the club really should to be working full time to move Bullard on etc. As we still need to recruit at least three players are we likely to be shopping for last day dregs again?
transfer window is open until the end of september isnt it? i reckon pearsons working the bullard situation as we speak.
As far as i know the transfer window closes on 31st August. Either 11pm or midnight i think ? Its always good veiwing on SSN to see the last minute panic. As for Hull City and next week. I would suggest that Adam P. will stay behind to do the deals. Dont expect any wasted days to be honest. Unlike Duffen, Adam knows what he is doing.
The window does close at the end of August and Adam handles transfers and doesn't go to the training camp, so it doesn't make any difference to anything.
If Adam decides to sort out any loan deals, do you think he might take the players thoughts into consideration this time?
Didn´t we sign Geovanni when we were in Italy? What has happened to the deal for the Liverpool goalkeeper?
I had no idea about Geovanni because I was away getting married/on honeymoon. I managed to catch some of the City vs Fulham game the day before I got hitched and had no idea who the scorer was. Luckily the day after they replayed the full game while my wife to be was getting a beauty treatment before the "main event". Cracking day that was!
Why do people start panicking lol!! The process is pretty simple, Nigel pearson and his scouting team identify targets first second and maybe third choice hand the list to Adam Pearson and he goes out and gets them if its affordable.
I assume its when you miss out on your 1st 2nd and 3rd choice but still need a player forthat position
I am guessing things have gone a bit like this: End of last season: Walsh to N. Pearson: " We should look at trying to get these fellas in over the summer, list is in position order and prefered player" During off season: Pearson studies list, reads player reports, watches player DVDs Start off pre-season NP to AP: "I would like to sign these players, and have a look at these in trails" AP to NP: "Will see what I can do" City go to Slovinia for the week Trailists get a run out, AP continues with list, if anything happen, they use an international communications media (like a phone or internet), to discuss whats happening and conclude any deals All in all will 6 days away hamper our signings - Not a chance Will 6 days improve fitness, morale and team spirit - most likely
Have we missed out on our 1st 2nd and 3rd choices? What im getting at its why even contemplate us missing out of 6 days transfer activity just because were away on a pre-season training camp, ridiculous.
it doesnt work like that. most contracts are paid to the end of june anyway. how many players do you think we are going to buy? negotiations take time. players need to consider their options. it isnt "ridiculous" it's NORMAL. it happens most years at most clubs. are you so very new to all this?
I would say thats about 95% accurate. The coolest people seam to be both the Pearsons. Both just going about there business as the local media and some fans have panic attacks. Lol.
