ffs we will have knowone left if the media are to be believed Inter will face Tottenham in the Europa League next week and itâs reported theyâll take the opportunity to discuss an offer for Aaron Lennon. The two clubs come face-to-face in the Round of 16 and are targeting victory in this tournament. According to the Corriere dello Sport newspaper, the Nerazzurri will use this match to begin negotiations over Lennon. It is not the first time that Inter have been linked with the England winger, but it is going to be tough. The 25-year-old only signed a four-year extension to his Spurs contract last summer.
Garry, when the press are Bored, their favourite words are "reported" "according" Source close" which translates to BULLSHIT!
Talking of Inter, I was reading that Milito is out injured and they have taken John Carew on trial as a short term replacement, not sure if he will be eligible to play agaisnt us though.
Also Walker is heading to Madrid, not Bale, according to the geniuses at the Fail. Sandro was supposed to be going to Inter a couple of years back too, plus Modric was going to Juventus and Kaboul's on his way Zenit(or was it Anzhi?). We wouldn't have any good players left if paper rumours meant much, although on the plus side we would have Zigic
think we can all book our season tickets in the new stadium now because we will have the funding for it after that lot have been sold

I personally think Lennon will retire at Tottenham, unless he's forced out. - which would be very surprising.
Carew was on Goals on Sunday this morning and said he spoke to Inter and explained he would need about 2 months training to get to match fitness. As a consequence, both parties agreed not to proceed. .
Yeah, Milito out for the season and Carew failed fitness test, not sure they even bothered with one tbh, he was miles away.
I actually agree with you. Whilst Lennon does divide opinion, I actually think he is one of our best players and provides that width on the right that none of our other players can. As well, he is also able to switch flanks and is (although not as) effective on the left and is able to cut in on his right. His final ball has been continuously improving, perhaps not at the rate he would have liked though. The goal he scored today showed that his intelligence in front of goal though. He could see an opportunity and he took the chance and it ended up being the deciding goal. Unless Spurs sign a player better than Lennon, which I doubt since we don't need to, he will stay unless he wants to leave or is forced out.
Lennon has been quietly consistent for us since the day we bought him. It's only in recent times, as we've gradually ramped up the pace throughout the squad, that we've seen the best of him. In earlier seasons, he was far too fast for most of our squads.
If Lennon does end up finishing his career with us, does anyone think he may become a right back in his latter years, when his pace begins to dwindle? Obviously he doesn't have the defensive abilities at the moment, but we have seen many players develop that aspect of the game as they become more experienced and their attacking prowess dwindles. Personally I think its an interesting prospect, shame he isn't a few inches taller though.
