West Ham will breeze the league after Christmas. Their quality and depth will see them win the league by a good five points. Southampton look solid enough so i'd put them in at least the playoffs. It's really a lottery for second place though. I don't think we can judge how good we are until we play West Ham.
I'm happy you lot are doing well but I guess the fans who go to the games will have a better idea of what the team are doing than some geek typing out hundreds of posts on here every day in his darkened bedroom, my cousins actually go to games up there and reckon Hull are the new Arsenal from the late eighties and nineties, grinding out results, but I guess you won't remember that being born in 1998 or whatever
Yeah that's very true. Nigel is the new George Graham! Winning ugly is always better than losing. Just look at Blackburn Rovers, once they got rid of Allardyce their defence has gone to pot!
It might be too early to say but I'm fairly confident we won't go down . We're probably half way to safety already .
Too early still for me to commit to deciding whether we will go up or not. I would like to add that the signs are there, we have some big games between now and new year which will probably determine whether we are good enough for a promotion push or not.
I honestly think we have a good chance in getting in the play offs this year. However I'm not sure if we'll get promoted. There are a lot of strong teams out there this season hunting for the play offs.
Yes, absolutely nailed on, can't miss! Should be 6 points clear by easter and rolling, wait till we beat Barnsley and Wet Spam this week another 6 points should go a long way to calm the doubters! I'm joking by the way before anyone goes over the top at me Got a decent chance at the playoffs though for sure
This is going to be one of the toughest Championship seasons so far and if we do get promoted it will be a real achievement. A lot will depend on injuries / suspensions, who we recruit in January and whether our squad can deal with the pressure (especially at the business end). I think NP has instilled a strong discipline in the way City play, so if we get the rub of the green we have as much chance as anyone and more than most.
It's going to be a challenge enough getting into the top six. And there's still a lot more to do even if we achieve that. Knocked out of the Playoff Semi-Finals in extra time/penalties.
Southampton and West Ham should take the automatics, but we have a good shot at the playoffs and at that stage anything can happen. If Stewart stays healthy and we keep Brady and Waggy, and avoid injuries to key players we could be at Wembley again. Playing Leeds??? Now that would be a sell out!!
I think you will make play-offs for sure going on what I hear, who cares what some spotty keyboard-warrior thinks!
It's far too early yet. Just don't get your hopes up, long way to go. I'll reserve judgement until later if we're still in the hunt. This is generally my way of avoiding smashing my computer if City lose, by the way, i'm not really a pessimist. Don't get me wrong, i'd love to get promotion/ in thw playoffs (minus the heart ache if we lose). Just think the teams a bit thread bare in comparision and we don't score enough.
