At this early stage it is difficult to predict where we will finish at the end of this up-comming season. It looks as though Di Canio is pressing forward with his transfer dealings and I really hope we see new faces in the near future. What is promising is Watkins is excited about Di Canio's first signing of the season, it must be a good'n . If all goes to plan then we should be celebrating promotion back to the 3rd tier next season but there's a lot of work to do and the players have got to form as a unit and as a team. My personal opinion is that I we will secure a play-off spot at least and hopfully go on and win promotion, ideally we finish in the top 3 and above ox****. I think the main teams competing at the top of league 2 will be: Plymouth, Shrewsbury, Bristol Rovers, Crawley, Accrington, Swindon and Accrington. Com'on You Reds!
With our current situation at Home Park I really can´t see Argyle pushing for anything this season, mid-table would suffice, but you never know!!!
I don't think any team should be written off yet until every team has their signings in place. For the last 4 seasons we have been put down for relegation but every season we have stayed up & proved we can compete at this level. I notice the football forum have us down for relegation only because we have a new unexperienced manager in Jim Bentley without considering he has yet to bring in more new players & until we know who they are we can't make assumptions that we will finish bottom. Jim Bentley has brought in Ken McKenna who has plenty of experience at Uefa cup level with TNS who abit back played Liverpool. I think it is pointless to underestimate any team in league two until the signings are over & the season has started.
Well the Poxford Chavs seem to be obsessed with us as its a big time for them playing us next season and they are all coming on to our forums out of respect for us. I have made the odd comment on theirs but 99% of STFC arent the slightest bit interested in Poxford as they are a small former conference team and are jealous of us as we have always played at the higher level than them and it pains them that we are always higher. But now we are in the same league and this is a massive two game cup final for them next season. So as for predicitions we will be top three and Paulo will take us straight back to L1 whereas Poxford will stay where they are always beneath us in L2.
