The Premier League have reacted to the problem of Saturday 3pm matches meant for overseas viewing being broadcast in UK pubs by banning some of the coverage.

The numerous breaches of media regulations forbidding televised Saturday afternoon football have led to sanctions - after warnings - against Al Jazeera, who have the Middle East rights, and Fox Sports Italia.

The Italian broadcasters have been stopped from transmitting any Saturday 3pm kick-offs, while Al Jazeera only covered one 3pm game at the weekend and did not show immediate goals from the other fixtures as their contract allows, much to the upset of subscribers.

A PL spokesman said: 'We have become aware that live broadcasts of PL football intended for overseas territories are being transmitted in the UK. We are working to address this and there will be some editorial changes while we do so.'

That could make getting a good stream tricky I guess. Most the best ones originate from Al Jazeera I think.
