As I see it, there are 5 clubs in danger of being in the bottom 3 alongside Wolves at the end of the season. Those 5, of course, are Villa and those below them currently. I see the possibility of Blackburn collecting just 5 points from their remaining matches, possibly from W.Brom , Swansea, Norwich and Wigan. I reckon that total will not be enough to remain in the Premiership. What do you think? My analysis may be way out, of course, since I'm as poor a match predictor as Mark Lawrenson. (Just 6 weeks ago I predicted Wolves would stay up!!)
After the West Brom defeat, perhaps the Rovers will get a result today against Liverpool, whose terrible recent form with only 2 wins from 13 matches this year, gives plenty of hope for 3 points. The other remaining matches don't look too promising, for both Swansea and Norwich are playing well.
Will the Rovers stay up? Yes. Because you can score goals. My prediction to go down - QPR, Wigan, Wolves.
Got to say at the moment it doesn't look good for Rovers. West Brom and then Liverpool, who were both not scoring, and not winning suddenly win when playing Rovers? Not looking good at all
So near and yet so far last night! If that first penalty had been converted, what a difference it could have made to the fight for survival. As it was, the effort was woeful. 6 points are needed from somewhere, with the match against Wigan probably the one which will decide if it is to be Championship or Premiership next season.
Sorry but Wolves and Blackburn have had it! it just remains to be seen which one of QPR or Bolton will join the trio! Wigan the great escape artists............
Spot on !! Although I hope not but I think it will be QPR not Bolton that go down. But if we beat Spurs we may just nick it. Very close either way!
Two weeks later and no change , apart from the fact that there are only 2 games left! Only the most optimistic would see 6 points from these games, yet that is the least needed to escape relegation. QPR, Blackburn, and of course, Wolves, to go down.
