But the bottom line, you called him a clown, a man who has ye 3rd and doing well. I think it is you that might be the clown be careful getting out of that mini
For me it's more like "I hope Abramovich is heading the club towards a mess that can't be solved with money, but I can't say I think he will." Money solves too many problems. I wouldn't be surprised to see Rafa out the door very shortly, but the club is very talented, and anybody might be able to turn it around. Chelsea right now looks capable of just about anything, good or bad, except not being a rich man's plaything.
1. I'm sure 4-5-1 has worked for us lots of times. Harry used it, but of course that doesn't count as anything good Harry did must be forgotten. 2. I don't think AVB has "admitted" that 4-5-1 is a mistake - which it clearly isn't under certain circumstances, like when you don't have two strikers available! No doubt if he played 4-4-2 regardless of the situation there would be umpteen posters on here complaining he doesn't have the ability to change the system and is too predictable. 3. When you say "admitting ones mistakes" is the first sign of a great man I think you really mean "agreeing with me".
Give somebody enough dough and that poison suddenly becomes very attractive. I did say that it would only happen with a bullet proof contract, probably with mindblowing penalty clauses in the event of termination. Never discount anything where football generally and Chelsea in particular, is concerned.
i still can't see him going there, remember AVB was promised time,he never got it,Pep wants a club with some stability,Chelsea aren't that team
I agree.. I think he's a good fit at Manure.. I can't see anybody else being a big enough name to follow Ferguson.
I don't think Pep would even consider Chelsea if they came knocking. He has the Barcelona philosophy engrained into him, development of youth and footballing purity, it's practically the antithesis of Chelsea. I don't see him as the type to go chasing money so he will look for the club which is the best fit for him. I actually see Arsenal as his next destination unfortunately, they'd be a good project for him. It's actually quite unnerving to think how good Arsenal could be if they didn't have Wenger at the helm, in terms of club infrastructure they will be in a very healthy situation in the coming years. Will be interesting to see what the managerial developments are at United, City, Arsenal and Chelsea over the next few years actually. I think we are pretty sure to hang on to AVB for a few seasons unless something disastrous happens, Liverpool seem like they've made their bed with the 'Brendanlution' and are stuck with him for a while. The rest of the top clubs will be all change in the next couple of years...
When he was persisting with a 4-5-1 formation, we weren't 3rd, and looked now where near finishing in the top 6. Christ! Even Arsenal were above us! AVB was a clown at that point in time, but he seems to have discarded those clothes for now and be a proper manager, someone fit to manager a top club like ours.
When Redknapp used a 4-5-1, we played some of the most negative football I have ever had the displeasure to see us play. Many on this board thought so, too. You obviously have a selective memory, to serve your purpose in writing a post to slag me off. I don't know of one genuine Spurs fan - in the real world - who has admitted to me that he likes a 4-5-1 formation. Of course you won't play a 442 regardless of who is available. However, what I would say is that if we find ourselves in a position not to be able to play with two up front, then someone has screwed things up, because we should never get to a situation where we have only one striker. And AVB's "admission" that he was wrong has been voiced, not in words, but by his actions, in the fact that he has completely dropped using 4-5-1 as his mainstay formation, and now almost exclusively uses some form of variant of 442. I'm sure you know all of this, but you choose to ignore it, for the purpose of writing your bile. No, I don't
Redknapp used a rather negative 4-2-3-1, but he also used a very cavalier 4-4-1-1, which are minor variations on the 4-5-1. Villas-Boas' preference is supposed to be a 4-3-3, but we don't have the right personnel to play it.
The Brazilian Taison has chosen not to be served by the Spanish Waiter! http://metro.co.uk/2013/01/11/taisons-chelsea-snub-opens-door-for-spurs-to-sign-willian-3348580/
It's being reported that Coco intends to leave Torres on the bench today, and play Ba. Isn't that what RDM did, immediately prior to getting sacked by Mad Dog?
Benitez is so unpopular with the Chelsea fans that he's actually having a negative impact on ticket sales. Their games against Southampton and Wigan are being advertised now, as they're on general sale. http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?orgid=24457&agency=CHELSEA_PUBLIC
