So here we are mid break, again, and Saturday we have a tricky away trip to ballmouth. Will the break cost us the momentum we have built up and lead to a tonking or is confidence sky high we can go there and get something from them. i'm hoping the latter and will take a point all day long but the cherries are on a superb run themselves and must fancy themselves to beat whoever is in front of them.
Nah I don't think it'll screw us over so to speak. McGoldrick/ Murphy + Berra all coming back fit is perfect. However this is a horrible fixture! A point would be fantastic.
yeah I don't think we can use the break as an issue, sometimes it gets the guys to re-focus a bit and not get to ahead of ourselves. Agree with westie, A point will do us well.
Town have sold the total away ticket allocation which given the size of Bournemouth's ground is about 60 tickets!
I think the break could negate Bournemouth more than us. You're going to get the same level of commitment from our players, regardless, whereas Bournemouth have been on such a high, the break will possibly (hopefully) have come at a bad time for them. In saying that, i think both teams will cancel each other out, and we could have another draw between us. On a side note, anyone going to the game? - I'll be there, but promised my Bournemouth buddy that i'd sit in the home end with him, and he'll sit in the Ipswich end when at PR.
Well 1200 is a decent away following from us. Be interesting as to how many we take to Charlton with it being an early k/o and on the telly, heard we've sold around 1200 so far. Half tempted to go myself! Also, Bolton is £20 a ticket. Sure, it's a long treck but with how we're doing I'd be very disappointed if we only have 4-600 there. Should be more.
We should feel that we can beat whoever is in front of us right now too so I'm not worried about this fixture, in fact I'm not worried about ANY league fixture with Mick at the helm. This will be another win for us and the media will have a collective orgasm as they finally realise we are doing well.
I wasn't be too serious with that last bit JWM I wouldn't expect the media to notice us if we were at the top of the table for four months straight.
With our small tight knit squad the breaks could be good for us...and I doubt Mick will let the players ease up.
Well, i seem to recall that after the last break, we took a while to get going and i am predicting the same, more often than not the break is not good for us!! Defeat is my prediction, followed by another winning streak!!
On the pitch not a good time for a break, (for either side) off the pitch, we have been carrying a lot of injuries and playing with "knocks" so I bet the physio is delighted!
I think your the ****ing idiot, after the break we drew against Blackburn, lost to Cardiff and drew with Hudds after leading 2 nil!!! So did the break do us good? No not really, then we got going again and won THREE games on the bounce!! SO WHAT THE **** ARE YOU ON ABOUT YOU TWAT!!
Well if we get injuries to Mcgoldrick, Murphy, or Berra playing in meaningless friendlies, we will be in a right mess. Then we have Tommy Smith going all the way to Thailand tomorrow, doing the same thing, even if he gets no injuries, he's hardly going to be in the best shape for a proper game of football on Saturday. Its a bit rich, when he's our player, we pay his wages, and he repays like this. Yes of course he's a good lad, with a great attitude, but this really is not on
