It was -11 here in Oxfordshire last night and quite a bit of snow is forecast for the south and south east for Saturday. I wonder if there's a chance the game will be off?
"YELLOW WARNING of SNOW A band of snow moving into eastern England is expected to give accumulations of 2cm or so quite widely, perhaps 5cm in places. It is likely to be most widespread and heaviest late on Friday evening before tending to die out after midnight, but untreated roads may remain icy well into Saturday morning, and the public are advised that some travel disruption may result. Valid from 1500 Friday until 1100 Saturday." From the bbc weather site. Not sure which forecast you've seen igor...but I hope yours is correct!!
Cuts both ways - if off we miss out on playing Wolves when they are on a shocking run, but get a breather to integrate new players Adel and Armand on the training pitch. My forecast app has it at 1 degree 3 tomorrow afternoon and that's as warm as it gets all day. No snow though. Break out the thermals!
Hopefully it will be cold and sunny like the last two days, with no snow that the undersoil heating can't deal with. At least there's no perishing wind at the moment. Wrap up well!
I think a lot will depend on how far east the snow gets and when. There are reports of two bands of snow heading east. One on Friday night and one on Saturday afternoon. However, we all know that the met office struggle to get it right very often and, even when they do, it's hard to get the timings right with weather fronts travelling across a small island!! Doesn't look like getting much above +2 in London tomorrow whatever happens....wrap up warm!!
You dont know what cold is my son...Here in finland where i live it was -24 celsius in the morning and in somewhere up north there was -39 celsius and they forecast even colder to come!
Arctic circle gets cold shocker. Serves you right for living in Finland! The UK was colder than the South Pole yesterday, weather there was minus 6 and it got as low as minus 11 here. If we get peckish at the match tomorrow we can always PPPick up a PPPPPenguin!
You right groove. We have used to these kind of weathers and thats why we kicked some sovjet frozen-ass during the winter war between 1939-40 when the temperature was sometimes as low as -45 or even -50 celsius..........
Weather looks good for tomorrow - snow coming in Saturday night - 5-10 cms then which is pathetic by Finnish standards!
