I don't think so, he's always had better quality players to work with and a different type of pressure, plus I'm not sure he has the games left to turn the dejection around, a couple of bad results and the boos will soon echo around SJP
Just what this league needs, a battle between Fat Sam and the Fat Spanish Waiter yet again ....a battle the portly little muff-faced toad has always lost btw.
Well, I, for one, am looking forward to it. What is going to be utterly hilarious is if the waiter can get the Toon to finish above 'Pool next season! Oh, how I would laugh at that!
With 9 games to go what the Newcastle players need is an inspirational leader who will get them working together and motivated for the challenge of a relegation scrap, particularly as they get towards the last few games and come up against teams that have nothing to play for. Benitez is far from that man. If anything he saps the belief out of his players with his divisive attitude and negative football. They may as well have hired Van Gaal.
Sorry, I cannot agree with you, Stan. He worked wonders at Chelsea, operating against a backdrop of hatred and contempt from some fans. I think he is highly motivated to show 'Pool's owners that he is better than any other manager he could have employed. In that regard, the Toon as a perfect vehicle for him. Imagine the personal satisfaction he will derive from leading the Toon to finishing above 'Pool! It will be the same for Mourhino at United, and the message he will want to send to Mad Dog and especially all the Chav players who stabbed him in the back.
Newcastle's players aren't as good as Chelsea's of a few years back? But controversial for my liking, Ern.
