When MAF took over the club Micky Adams had had a successful season, but he bought in Keegan and Wilkins, he new that to go forward he had to have Keegan to bring in players who wouldn't normally want to sign for a small club like Fulham in the lower leagues. I think Khan has to do the same. The experienced spine of the team has to be bought in, along with the youngsters who now have a season under their belt, built around the more experienced players needed. In the circumstances of Magath getting rid of a core of experienced players Symons was probably the best fit at the time, a bit like the Bracewell era, in that hoping for continuity with a manager who knew the players left at his disposal. I don't think Symons has the clout or contacts to bring in these type of experienced players. In the circles he has worked in I don't think Rigg has the network to get these players either. If we survive this season, Khan has to stop the BS about building a foundation for the future, because if he wants to get back to the Premier next season he's got to start getting things right.
Kit has certainly felt like a Bracewell of late. I hope that whatever happens, he stays with the club - he may have struggled as manager, but he is still valuable to our club.
