    He did a decent job at Lyon under difficult conditions. Because of the huge investment needed for the new stadium, Garde had to utilise the youth team and academy and couldn't spend much on players. He won the French Cup in 2012.
    The current resurgence under the new manager has much to do with the return of Yoann Gourcuff, the wonderkid who went missing through years of injuries.

    If the strong statements we have had on here about the club being sold in a couple of months are true, then this would be an obvious conclusion. We never do anything the easy way do we? <whistle>
