England go to Euro 2016 with high hopes of winning the tournament as it will be 50 years on from winning our last major trophy the World Cup in 1966.

Spurs are unbeaten in the Premier League since the opening day and they go into 2016 with high hopes of finishing in the top 6 places as it over 50 years on from them winning the league title in 1961.

So what will happen first, England win a major football tournament or Spurs win the League title.

I expect to see England win a major trophy once in my lifetime so I voted for them.

I know this is going to sound biased, but really, I can't see England ever winning anything ever again - not in any foreseeable future, anyway. The EPL rules, their interests come first, and basically, Hodgson & England can go take a flying ****!

If England ever do win anything, it may well be thanks to Spurs anyway. As we seem to be one of the few clubs left bringing on young English players.

If that's the case, it's very likely the reason England won't win anything <laugh>

Kane is quality <ok> The other two have potential and some said the same for Andros Townsend in his first year and look at the state of him now.

If England win anything it will be down solely to world class Wazza!

Do you think that Spurs will win the League title before England (or indeed any of the Home Nations) will win the World Cup or the Euros ?

Spurs have had more chances to win a major trophy as the PL is held every year and they don't have to qualify to take part, whilst the World Cup and the Euros alternate every two years and England have to qualify to take part, so why haven't Spurs won the League title since 1961

Alli is going to be even better. He's only 19 - just, and was named MoM by your own Gary Neville on Sunday. He'll be a star, you can bet on it. Just hope we can keep him!

Dier is turning into a very decent DM. His distribution needs to be improved, but again, he's young and coming on fast.

Townsend would be a very good player if he hadn't been born without a brain!

Let's just say I think we have a better chance. The odds are stacked against either happening due to the massive influx of money from the east in the PL. And the PL is so powerful now that the national team's needs are a minor consideration.

England are getting worse with every major tournament, so can't really see them winning or even getting close to winning anything soon, as for Spurs, well they have the small problem of having to go up against clubs with much bigger resources and also as a club, they don't really have the mentality to win a major trophy. This is a pretty tricky question, If you count the FA Cup as a major trophy, then I would say Spurs, because they are bound to get lucky with the draw one year and might not bottle it.

  14. With all the new money coming into the Prem, and with our academy demonstrating that it's undoubtedly one of the best in the World, I don't see why Spurs shouldn't win the Prem, especially after we're up and running in our new stadium.

As for the CL, that's a completely different matter. Few English clubs look like they'll be getting a sniff at that, for several seasons to come.

I fully expect Wazza to lead United and England to a clean sweep of trophies. A quintuple if you will. At which point there will be a clamour on here to beat me to a new username.

We are just awaiting the injustice of the Capital One Cup to be overturned by the FA so Wazza can make this come true.

The poll asks the question about Spurs winning the League title, it doesn't mention Spurs winning the FA Cup as you haven't done so since 1991 (which will be 25 years ago next year !) as I was comparing the 50 year gap in wins

The poll also doesn't mention the CL as it is only for teams that qualify for it and Spurs have only done that once in the last 20 years.

as for the TV money - Spurs will be using theirs to pay for a new stadium whilst the big clubs invest theirs in buying more world class players.

Arsenal will tell everyone how rich they are and buy no one.
